Vacation rentals in Pointe au Baril

We wanted to spend some time kayaking in the Shawanaga Archipelago, and when we saw Kim's cottage available in Skerryvore, we knew it would make a great base for our kayaking adventure. The cottage's location on the water in a peaceful lagoon connected to Georgian Bay made for a perfect beginning and ending to each day's paddle. The cottage was very well equipped, included a lot of extra amenities, and provided a cozy place to stay each night. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evening, eating supper at the picnic table, and even had a campfire one evening in the provided fire pit. Since our focus was exploring the Archipelago, we really appreciated Kim's direction on a few places that we would enjoy while out paddling. As it turned out, we did manage to get to The Hole in the Wall, and to the little waterfall well up the Shawanaga River. Thank you Kim for providing us with a comfortable place to stay, and enhancing our paddling experience with your local knowledge.

This was our fourth stay at Caribou Run. Our family really likes Harris Lake and Caribou Run can accommodate our growing 3 generations of family. Bev and Gary are always easy to communicate with and are very accommodating. Location is perfect for fishing, swimming and water activities. There is room to dock our fishing boat, sea doo and paddle boards. Life is never dull at “the cottage”. We were able to experience the meteor shower while sitting on the dock, with all eyes looking up. Amazing night! We recommend this cottage for any larger families or families that vacation together. Thank you again for helping us create more family memories 😊.

Well where do I even Start, Claude & Brenda were simply Amazing friendly hosts, They absolutely went above and beyond to make our stay incredible! They made us feel extremely comfortable and took us out all together on an AWESOME ATV trail ride, which was the big highlight of our trip.... Shawn & I cannot thank you both enough for this wonderful relaxing fun weekend! I highly recommend Claude & Brenda's cozy beautiful bunkie!!! I would give it 10 stars If I could, You definitely won't be disappointed. Shawn and I felt right at home and made some even better friends along the way! Again - We simply cannot thank you guys enough! We will 100 % Be back soon in the fall time, we hope!!! Seriously ..... Don't miss out on this amazing little piece of heaven!

Had an awesome stay! Beautiful & quiet location and just minutes from killbear and seconds from georgian bay and a 30 minute drive from parry sound. Cottage was well equipped with everything we could have needed and there was a restaurant & ice cream 30 seconds away. Walt was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Visited with a large group for a fishing trip and had a great stay. Tons of space with all the amenities required. Kimberly is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Love the location and having a boat launch on site was a bonus! Beautiful spot and definitely recommended.

Exactly like the photos. Quick responses. Jay was kind enough to give us a ride in his boat from the marina. Our stay was wonderful with no hiccups - the drinking water tap was not working so Jay was so accommodating in bringing us jugs of water to last the weekend. We were 5 and a small dog and we very comfortably all fit. This cottage had everything we could imagine for a peaceful and private experience: we lounged on the dock for hours, being swayed by the ripples of the lake. We paddled on the boards and kayak, jumped off from the water trampoline into the warm water, and spent hours in the screen room that had a nice breeze. We also cooked meals everyday in the kitchen, lit fires in the firepit, and played board games. You never run out of things to do. I highly recommend this cottage and I hope to be back next summer! Thank you Mel and Jay for providing us with a stay to remember.

I had a great stay with my family for the weekend. All the amenities such as the jacuzzi, board games, and canoes were a plus. We were a group of 10 plus 1 dog, and we all had a lovely time! The only thing I would note is that we got lots of black fly bites despite all the repellant we used but I guess that’s expected for this time of the year. Overall, Dave’s cottage was amazing and would love to come back again!

We were amazed from the hospitality and quick reaction. We came after the market was closed, and when Larissa realized we missed that, she sent some tablets to the washing machine and dryer. In the morning, the coffee machine didn’t work and without asking for it, she sent a new one 5 minutes after realized it’s not working. Larisa is the most attentive host we ever encountered in AirBNB. The place itself is cute big summer house. The decoration is lovely. The beds are comfortable. The backyard is amazing for kids and also adults. The house is in front of the river. We were a bit surprised by the location next to the boats deck/shop but it was a really nice experience. We enjoyed the weekend and also,Larisa recommended us to take a tour boat and it was amazing experience with the friendly Captain Don. Thank you Larisa for great weekend
