Family-friendly vacation rentals in Playa Herradura

We really enjoyed Jeff's place from the start. It was very nice and a great place to relax by the pool. When it was time to go fishing, it could not be more convenient. I hope to comeback next year. Thank you Jeff, you're a great host.

Guillermo's place was very comfortable and clean. There was AC in both bedrooms and the living room. We did not get to go to the pool since we stayed one night stay only. He gave clear check in instructions that were easy to follow. I like that it is inside a private area and it was very quiet. I would recommend his place to others.

Excellent communication from host before & during stay. Very friendly, helpful & bilingual staff. This unit was extremely private & quiet, great outdoor space. Comfortable furniture, modern & well functioning appliances. Cleaning staff were excellent and unobtrusive. Easy walking to restaurants, markets, beach. Host arranged bilingual and convenient transport to & from SJO (cash only) - safe, friendly drivers. I had one minor maintenance issue over the entire month, and within 5 minutes of my call, staff were at the door. Issue was resolved quickly & professionally. Cost of living was high (living, groceries) so be prepared. For example, one person in the condo with split AC, so cooling one room ( part day living room, overnight 1 bedroom) was $184 USD, way more than Canada or US, so factor that into your expenses. Overall, host & property were excellent, great experience.

Donna’s place is great! We would come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend. We are a family of three that stayed for 2 weeks. She was incredibly helpful and communicative from the time of booking until we left. The unit is exactly as described with all the listed amenities. It’s very comfortable, beautifully decorated, spacious and we felt right at home. The balcony was amazing, so relaxing with an amazing view. The pool and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There is someone on site available 24 hours a day. Great location right on the beach with sandy bottom and fun waves. It’s the quieter end of the beach which we loved, with lovely nature walks and wildlife nearby. Town is walkable or very easy to uber around. Great restaurants and lots to do and see in Jaco and surrounding areas. We are looking forward to visiting again :)

My husband, three-teenaged kids, and I had an amazing stay here! The condo is a great location close to the main strip for restaurants, shopping, groceries. The resort is well kept and the pool is top tier. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! The condo has washer/dryer and A/C which was necessary for our family of five. Communication with host was easy. We had an issue with water leaking from master BR’s A/C unit and Phil immediately had the issue rectified. We rented a car and drove from SJO airport, and we are so glad we did! Getting around is easier with the Waze app. It took us about 2 hours to get from SJO to condo due to afternoon traffic and about 1 hour and 15 minutes for return to airport in the early morning with less traffic. We give our stay at Anik and Phil’s a strong five star!!

Our stay at Lauren’s place in Jacó was absolutely perfect! The home is beautiful, located in a quiet and peaceful part of town — just far enough from the main strip to feel relaxing, but still close enough to everything you might need. It had every amenity we could have asked for. You can tell Lauren has truly thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable and at home. The check-in process was seamless, and Lauren was incredibly easy to communicate From start to finish, it was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. We would 100% recommend staying here if you’re visiting Jacó — you won’t be disappointed! ⸻

We had an incredible experience staying at this beautiful property in Los Sueños Herradura! The location is stunning, with breathtaking views and the perfect mix of relaxation and fun. The space was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether we were enjoying the pool or just soaking in the views from the balcony, everything was top-notch. Costa Rica is a gorgeous country and Jaco beach is a magical place. We began and ended each day on the patio overlooking the ocean. The sunsets are INCREDIBLE! We arranged a few excursions. (Vista Los Suenos Adventure park offers zip lining, ATV) But we mostly enjoyed calling this Home, watching the surfers, walking the beach and enjoying sunsets, exploring the local dining , and evenings at the pool/jacuzzi. A very healthy and restful vacation!

We had an absolutely heavenly stay at Jan's; it was our second time in this lovely place, a perfect escape far from the crowds. The location is incredibly peaceful, with the tranquility we craved while still being close to restaurants, supermarkets, and everything you may need. The place has everything you need to cook, making it feel like a true home away from home. The internet connection was flawless, which made working remotely a breeze. As usual, Jan was attentive and responsive, ensuring our stay was comfortable and seamless. We can’t wait to return to this slice of paradise!

Thomas’s place was beautiful. Perfect get away not far from Jaco. Beautiful views,attentive host and staff. We had a chef they recommended cook breakfast 2 days and it was great! The sunset view was so relaxing. The place was a bit hard to find but once you arrive it’s well worth. There are lots of restaurants near as well. Highly recommend this place. I stayed here with my wife and two daughters and our friends and their two daughters and it was absolutely perfect. The house is beautiful and the layout was so great for our two families. Lisa was a great host and supplied lots of info and also helped make arrangements for us for both a chef and a day out on a boat. The location was so close to so many great places but secluded just enough to feel very private and comfortable. We had such a great time!

We had a wonderful stay. The area is great and the condo was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might want to use to make a great meal. The a/c worked great! The view of the pool was nice and it was a very short walk to go to use it. The only complaint I have, and this is absolutely just a preference, the beds are very firm. I like a comfy bed and these beds were much more firm than I prefer. Not a deal breaker though. I would stay there again!

The view and location are outstanding, as is the pool and easy access to the beach. The kitchen was well organized and clean. When we arrived, the AC in the master bedroom wasn’t working — but the property manager sent maintenance out immediately and it was running well within an hour and a half. The condo is lovely and spacious, and the view, location, and pool could not be better. The furnishings and cabinetry have seen some rental wear over the years, but everyting was clean - and the overall property is beautifully maintained.

Great location close to everything

Shelley’s listing was a 10/10. The views, the bedrooms, and cleanliness exceeded our expectations. It is perfectly located for those who want the beautiful and peaceful ocean views but still only a 5-10 minute uber to downtown. By far the best listing we’ve stayed at in Costa Rica.

I had everything I needed and felt very safe and comfortable The view from the balcony was my favorite and I spent a lot of time there watching the ocean. I would definitely book this condo again.

We stay for 4 days and let me tell you we travel the world but this Condo is amazing. what a view and location with too many thing to do at walking distance. Condo is nice and clean and top off all best view of beach. I highly recommend to anyone like to enjoy and have a fun at safe and clean place. AAA+++ Host
