Very nice location right on the beach. No sand in the room the place was very clean.

Just recently, I visited Puerto Plata and stayed at Mary’s place. It was very cozy, and I loved the colors! The furniture and especially the bed was comfortable. It's within walking distance of the beach, which was a huge plus for me. It’s a cute pink house with a cozy vibe. I would definitely recommend this place. We had a great stay at Mary's place! The little beach town of El Pueblito felt safe. The place is a short walk to the beach where there are vendors, restaurants, and several all-inclusive resorts. It is about a 10-15 minute Uber ride into downtown Puerto Plata where the tourist spots are, and there are Ubers that wait at the top of the street. (Ubers with tip are around $5 to get there) The place is small and modest, but a good, safe, and affordable spot to base out of to explore the beautiful Playa Dorada beach and Puerto Plata area!
