All I have to say is...PERFECTION!!! We've been renting airbnb's for over 10 years and this has been the best yet. Great location, well taken care of, clean, responsive friendly hosts, great amenities and the most well stocked place I've experienced. I can't say enough great things about this place.

The Great House at Rum Point !

BrandiRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The house was more than just a comfortable, beautiful place to stay. It was art. For all of the senses. Martin really knows how to bring out the serenity and aesthetics from the textures used throughout to the local art displayed everywhere to the cultural pieces to the resources used to the local fruit offerings. Service was exceptional. Dogs were a complete joy. We will hopefully be back one day!
Two elevated beach cabanas are shown, featuring wooden decks with white railings and steps leading up to each unit. Surrounding palm trees provide shade, and a sandy area stretches in front, creating a relaxed seaside environment.

tri tan beach cabanas 2

JasmineRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We’ve had a wonderful time in this beach cabin. It is incredibly well located in Placencia with tons of restaurants and scuba diving shops. It is a large lot right between the main pier and the beach with 3 cabins on it: 2 for short term rental on Airbnb closer to the beach and one slightly at the back where Arthur and Aura lives. Aura and Arthur welcomed us and explained the rules and provided recommendations. Although not the most luxurious place, the cabin was very clean and comfortable, and definitely much cheaper than other beachfront options in Placencia. So very good value for money. Hosts even refreshed the room twice during our 6 days stay, which was awesome!

We had a great family stay! Very responsive team and great amenities - View is spectacular and super clean. We loved Archie (the local dog team member) as well!!! We utilized the local chef service and they also stocked the fridge with items requested for us for our arrival. Would stay again!

La Vida Belize - Casa

StacieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We are a family of 5 and recently stayed at La Vida Belize. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The plunge pool, beach and dock were the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure. We enjoyed being in a quieter area and didn’t mind the distance from the main area of Placencia. We rented a car and explored several areas in Belize during our stay. We used the guestbook for tips about the area and places to eat near Maya Beach. The grounds keepers were friendly and kept everything nice for us during our stay. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. During our week stay, some of the activities we were able to do included: snorkling with Captain Jak’s, visit the Bocawina Nation Park & Zip-line Adventure, fishing, a Monkey River tour and visit some Mayan Ruins. We also spent a good amount of time relaxing and reading on the beach or by the pool. We recommend staying here.

Luxurious Private Beach Home with Large Pool

TinaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house was very comfortable and views were amazing. We loved having our own oasis away from the hustle and bustle. The location is not near the main village so would recommend having your own transportation. The kitchen had everything you'd need so we didn't have to purchase a bunch of additional items like spices. Bed was comfortable and the overall living space was great.
A spacious bedroom features a large wooden bed with decorative headboard, complemented by bedside lamps. Sunlight filters through multiple windows, illuminating the polished wooden floors. A door leads to a private balcony, enhancing the room's openness and connection to the outside.

Bougainvillea Beach House, 3 Bedroom Home

RichardRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We love the property and keep coming back; this was our 5th or 6th straight year. We like the fact that it is pretty far north because we like to explore the beautiful country of Belize. We are still close to the great restaurants in Maya beach and can access the village relatively easily. It is clear that Greta loves the property too and does her best to take care of it and improve upon it. The progress on the fountain is great and we look forward to see it functioning in its full glory. We appreciate the effort she makes! Whenever an issue arises, we appreciate the fact that we can work together with Greta to quickly resolve it. It was also a bonus to have Phillip working on the grounds and trying to improve our esperience while we were there this year. The only downsides with our visit this year was about a week of squalling cats during the night and owls that were extremely loud during the wee hours. We are looking forward to coming again next year or perhaps even later this year.

Bella Vita Casitas

KenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
An incredible host. Very responsive, kind, and welcoming. Kat greeted us when we arrived and was present when needed but not intrusive. Kat had plenty of recommendations for local businesses, and it's clear she's connected with her community as she reached out for solutions to a major sunburn. The place was very clean, full of amenities, and very comfortable. We had been planning this trip for over a year, and Kat was very communicative through the whole process. Highly recommend her place(s).

Cindiri Private Island - 2 King Beds - 2 Cabanas

MaryRating, 5 stars67 months ago

King Lewey's Island Resort Purple Octopus Suite

Once in a lifetime splurge. Amazing experience. At times, we had the island to ourselves - what a dream! We loved it. Fantastic service. Very friendly, helpful, outdid themselves to serve with a smile. Ready to accommodate any request. Very grateful to Marari, skips-and-smiles Chamaine, Akeem the builder who taught our son to remove a conch from its shell, Chef Hilly who can cook anything, Calvin who served with a smile. Picked our own food, they learned what we liked, taught us some cooking. Facilities were great. Power and water were fine. Even better than in the pictures. A couple of things to note before you come. Snorkeling is beautiful, equipment is limited, e.g. short fins and limited selection. You may wish to bring your own. No beverages are included in meals. Food seemed expensive but in the end, it wasn't exorbitant. Island is ~$BZ 250 to get to/from.
A colorful cabana is situated atop the clear water, featuring a bright blue exterior with red accents. Palm trees surround the structure, and a paddleboard rests against the railing. The tranquil setting is further enhanced by gentle waves and distant birds in the sky.

King Lewey's Island Resort Blue Marlin Cabana

WalkerRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a great time! We spent 3 nights there and there were a lot of positives. Very friendly staff, about 5 men who were the host, waiters, chef, maintenance crew. Some made an effort to know us by name, which felt extra welcoming. The island itself does feel a bit small after the 3rd day. It was my friend and I traveling (late 20s) and we snorkeled, kayaked, read, and played the many lawn games available. I wouldn’t recommend this as a honeymoon-style destination personally. Midday some party boats or fishing tour boats would stop by and often the music was bumping, drinks flowing. Didn’t bother us, but I could see this bothering someone looking for a “private island” experience. The boats left before sunset though and the evenings were peaceful. We had lots of rain and high wind, which took away from the joy of the island, but that’s out of their control of course. The food was delicious! Saw lots of sea life around the island, like manta ray, nurse shark, lobster.

Palmento Grove Garifuna Live-In Experience

DeniseRating, 5 stars16 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay. The little cabin was perfect and private. There were so many birds right around us. Uwahnie made us breakfast both mornings that was absolutely delicious. We had access to kayaks to use anytime so went for several paddles. Paddling across to the island was a huge part of the charm. We participated in the Cultural Day and learned about the Garifuna culture. During this we made traditional Hudut for lunch. Absolutely delicious! We plan on going back to stay next time we are in Belize. A wonderfully quiet and secluded (but close to town) place to stay.

Island Cabana on Ranguana Caye near Placencia

AdamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had an incredible time at Ranguana Caye. The private island is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful, and the snorkeling was the best I’ve ever experienced – the coral reefs were stunning. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. This off-the-grid experience is ideal for adventure-seekers looking to disconnect and explore nature. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay

King Lewey's Island Resort Pink Seahorse Cabana

This is handsdown the best place I have ever stayed in in my life! Our experience here we will treasure forever. Not only is it stunning and so intimate especially in the evenings when the day guest have left, the staff are the kindest people and very attentive. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting and spending time with King Lewey and Queen Kathy and they also made sure our experience was truly unforgettable. This tiny and beautiful island has so many fun activities to do and the food and drinks are 10 out of 10. I couldn't recommend staying here more if I tried!

King Lewey's Island Resort Yellowtail Cabana

DakotaRating, 5 stars71 months ago
King Lewey's Island Resort was a beautiful oasis in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Only accessable by boat, you are guaranteed to hear ocean waves crashing outside of your cabana and feel the sea breeze inside of it. There is a bar/restaurant, 4 cabanas, and plenty of fun located around the island. While there are only 4 cabanas, we were surprised to see how popular the island was when we arrived. There is day access to the island, so a fair amount of people explore during the day. By night time, and early in the morning, the only people on the island have rented out the cabanas. Food and drinks were a little expensive, but everything was delicious and came with large portion sizes. We even had a live lobster for dinner that came from right outside of our cabana. Not authentic Belize culture, but an island playground for adults and children.

Cindiri Private Island - 1 King Bed - 1 Cabana

CourtneyRating, 5 stars68 months ago
Where to begin?! We had such an amazing stay on the island! Captain Fidel and Dingo were so knowledgeable and were amazing hosts to us. We really enjoyed being "off the grid" and just relaxing for a few days (this is a place to connect with nature, not with your cell phone). The first night, we watched a storm pass by (which was a nice treat we don't see much in San Diego). You can see and hear waves breaking on part of the barrier reef in the distance, and the swimming and snorkeling was amazing! Fish of all kinds, rays, lobster, even a nurse shark. We definitely recommend getting the meal package--everything we ate was amazing. Fresh tortillas, chicken, rice and beans, fresh-caught lobster, fish fingers, ceviche...just trust the chef and know you won't go hungry! This was a great last stop on our vacation in Belize and the perfect spot to recharge after our previous adventures inland. Communication was great, everyone was so helpful, and we definitely feel like we got a private island at a bargain. We would absolutely come back to Cindiri Beach for a future vacation!

Michelle and Ed are the best hosts! They helped us with anything we needed and made us feel at home. The space is absolutely gorgeous. There were drinks and treats waiting to welcome us after a long day of travel. We enjoyed the pool daily and the view of the ocean can’t be beat. The location is perfect. It’s close enough to walk to stores and restaurants, but just a short drive from everything else. We highly recommend this listing and can’t wait to book it again.

Modern Beach Living Villa A

Fabulous location - the house is set back from the road far away from the hubbub of Placencia Village. Wonderful to have our own a private beach with vegetation on either side so that you never saw any neighbours. To top it off was the manager Santiago who gave us our privacy yet kept the grounds pristine. He chopped down and opened a couple of coconuts for us. Great guy.

Mermaid Cottage & Pool on Azura Beach in Placencia

CaraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We liked the mermaid cottage a lot. We stayed at one of the tiny houses as well. I didn't realize that there is not a beach here though and the sand that is all around in the photos is not sand you can play in, it's just a dusting on top of the ground. And much of it had biting ants. So this was a beautiful place but not ideal for little kids (our 2 year old was with us). We spent our days down at the Bohemian in town which had a beach and pool. We loved the little plunge pool at the cottage though, it was very cute and a great way to cool off. If you are looking into their different accomodations, this is definitely the best one. This place is about a 15 minute drive into the town of Placencia. If you walk two properties down to the left there is a nice resort with a restaurant. Communication is very confusing but if you just talk to Jose it will be all good.
The bathroom features a light-colored tile design with a spacious vanity and a large mirror above it. A small vase of flowers adds a touch of color, while the toilet is positioned beside the vanity. Soft lighting is provided by a fixture above the mirror.

Cashew Cabins Nuthouse Two

AnneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a great place. CLEAN! I walked in and was so impressed with how clean it is that I booked the room again right then and there for the next weekend! It is located an easy and pleasant walk from the restaurants, beach and bars. The pool was so nice to have right there -- a quick dip in the mornings, another after getting back from whatever I was doing for the day, and another dip before bed. Chris supplied a towel for the pool, as well as nice cushions for the lounge chairs outside. Have I mentioned how clean the place is? Yes, I have, but it's worth noting again. Chris was super helpful with lining up transportation back to the airport. I was traveling alone (female, 57 years old) and felt perfectly safe at The Cashew Cabins. Would I stay there again? Absolutely!

#3 Belizean Retreat-1B/1B, AC in bed, kitchenette

NielRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Typically, I try to qualify a review somewhat so it's clear I'm not a paid or cyber reviewer. Really hard with Alux House--aka Belizean Retreat--which was pretty much faultless. Super clean, well-appointed, and easy, plenty of space inside for two of us and our diving stuff, nice outdoor space, great laundry room, amazingly well equipped kitchen, very helpful staff, spot on recommendations for local dining, etc., rental bikes well-maintained. Okay, the door lock mechanism was a bit finicky, and there's no direct ocean view. But you are two minutes from the water's edge on a lovely, leafy, and quiet side street, and three minutes from the heart of downtown. Just book it.
