We were welcomed personally and very warmly by the two hosts. As a welcome gift, there were a few delicacies, which we were very happy about. The apartment is just great! Spic and span - cozy - beautiful - fantastic view - fantastic terraces. It is equipped with everything you need for a stay. On colder days it can also be heated, which was very convenient. We could have stayed here a few more days. In the small village there is a mini market (for basic needs) with a small café and a tavern. We would book the apartment again immediately if we are back in the area. A rental car is helpful to explore the surroundings well.

We called this place "the mansion." The views are absolutely breathtaking and the accommodations pristine. The beautiful beach is across the street and the hotel nearby has an outside bar on that beach. We ended up renting a car because we could tell driving in Crete was easier than places like Mykonos and Athens. We ventured to a few places like Richtis Gorge and the downtown harbor; excellent shopping with some closed (no vehicles) streets. We wished we had more time here! Our host was very kind and also helpful in booking the car rental after our arrival. We highly recommend Villa Phi!! Thank you.

Well where to start!? First of all some context - we have been lucky enough to have holidayed in some amazing properties over the last twelve years or so, all across Europe: France; Portugal; Italy; Spain. But this experience has outshone them all. This property is utterly breathtaking: well appointed, tasteful, clean, the facilities and amenities were far beyond our expectations: Acres and acres of private outside space, like a garden of Eden - lovingly maintained, with a multitude of very special, unique, and varied spaces to suit any mood. An extensive outdoor kitchen, take your pick from barbecue, wood stove, and pizza oven… Inside we found perfectly furnished, super fast WiFi, two modern big screen TV’s with all bells and whistles, super cool remote control air conditioning in every room, 3 x WC’s 2 x bathrooms, washing machine/utility areas, 2 wonderful bedrooms, and the swimming pool is by far the best that we have ever experienced. An honour and a privilege to stay here.

Iosef is a wonderful host. He made us feel welcome right from the very start. His traditional Cretan home, that he has lovingly restored is truly magical. The views overlooking Sitia are absolutely breathtaking. You are surrounded by wild flowers, olive groves and not forgetting overlooking the turquoise waters of the Agean sea. Anyone who wants to Immerse themselves in nature, Cretan culture, flower scented clean air and perfect stillness. Then Iosef's beautiful home is for you. Iosef thank you so much for your kind hospitality, we enjoyed every single moment, especially the local honey!! We will definitely be back!!

Very nice house, very quiet although at the edge of an uncrowded road. Garden and very spacious outdoor space overlooking the olive trees. Unlimited drinking for the BBQ. Very functional house, tastefully furnished, very well equipped with quality dishes and appliances. Owner and co-host available by phone in case of need and very friendly. Cretan welcome obliges, olive oil from the owners' personal production, raki and fresh vegetables to make a Greek salad were waiting for us when we arrived. Thanks to Georgia and Mr. Pantelis 🙂

Elpida, a dream house, definitely recommended. Not only the location and the view are sensational, but also the house itself. We (married couple 63/61) were allowed to enjoy Angelika's unobtrusive and warm hospitality in May 2025 and had a relaxing week in or above the beautiful village of Mochlos. We have nothing to complain about, on the contrary - we have rarely found such a great place to stay. Perfect furnishings and very well-equipped kitchen, always a shady spot and very pleasant insect protection. The steep driveway up the mountain is also no problem after the first exercise. The scent of the plants is simply wonderful. huge house with beautiful terrace and amazing view in a tiny village. absolute privacy, very calm, you can completely relax. the way to Sitia is about 15 min by car, there you find a lot of shops and restaurants. everything was great, only the double beds are a little bit short for people with a body size over 1,8m. overall highly recommended and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Listing as described. Very well-equipped, clean and functional apartment. The washing machine was not working during our stay, however the hosts were going to do what was necessary to repair it soon. Downtown is within walking distance. Beautiful sea views, very nice balcony. Very quiet at night, quality bedding.
