Mountain Retreat with Fireplace and Hot Tub

ElizabethRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Phil's place is a little piece of paradise tucked in the hill country of our beautiful NC mountains. My husband and I were able to unwind and spend a relaxing weekend there with some snow and frigid January temps. But with a 102° hot tub and cozy fireplace, the cold and wind paled in comparison to the warmth of our suite. At night, the stars were glorious against an extremely dark sky, and during the day, we grounded ourselves by taking a couple of walks on the peaceful and picturesque property. The kitchen is well appointed, the bed, comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. Phil is available if needed, and stays out of your way if not. We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to book again!

The Bluebird Nest: A Mountain Retreat

Lyle Jr.Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is very secluded in the woods, very scenic! I saw a bunch of deer! It was very clean, WiFi was in and out, not a great signal downstairs where the bedroom is. Place was very clean, great for my short stay. One thing, which Michele did warn beforehand, there is no cell service for a mile or 2 when coming in. Waze took me up Howell Rd, which is not correct! If you are coming from the south on Rebels Creek Rd go past Howell and then a left on Castanea St. Very easy once I figured that out. Also make sure to get groceries beforehand. Your only real option is the Walmart in Spruce Pine, the Ingles has been closed since the hurricane. Overall a great stay! All brand new appliances and very pleasant! A+ Will definitely stay here again!

Pisgah Highlands Tree House * No cleaning fee*

KyleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I had a great time at the tree house. It is a perfect and peaceful stay if you’re looking to unplug. The instructions to get there are clear and I was able to find it easy, even at night. I recommend preloading or saving the directions because you will lose service before you get to boxturtle rd.

Private & Peaceful A-frame Cabin: The Hideout

KayseRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The Hideout was the perfect glamping experience. From the adorable decor to the well-stocked supplies, the attention to detail was impeccable. This has truly been my favorite Airbnb stay so far. The view from The Hideout was so idyllic, especially at sunset, that I found myself trying to burn it into memory on our last night. We appreciated the humorous signage around the space, especially the one about the shower (yes, it’s a trickle, but the water temperature was pleasantly warm!). Despite feeling remote and tucked away in the woods, I had full AT&T service the entire time and no issues with navigation using Apple Maps. The location felt private and serene—like our own little retreat in the mountains—while still being a convenient base for exploring the area. It was an easy and scenic drive to Roan Mountain State Park for the Rhododendron Festival and to hiking trails in the Pisgah-Cherokee National Forest, both of which we highly recommend. It was also close enough to grab lunch
