Already Planning My Next Visit! From the moment I arrived I knew I wanted to stay even longer. It is truly a Nature Lodge in every sense of the word and exactly what had been missing from my trip thus far. Being a non diver I was worried there wouldn't be enough for me to do but it was quite the contrary. I went kayaking in the mangroves ( saw jellyfish, monkeys, and schools of fish), rented a bike and rode to the lighthouse one day and the Ngezi forest the next lounged by the pool, and swam in the ocean. The one thing I wanted to do on Pemba was see the coconut crabs and the staff made such a huge effort to allow that to happen. Everyone mentions the food in their reviews here and they truly do have such a wonderful selection you could never get bored or the same thing twice. And wine! So hard to find a place with wine on Pemba. It made me quite happy. Mike, the owner is the ultimate host and truly ensures that your stay there is unique and enjoyable until the very end. I very much can't wait to return.

Pemba Moonlight Guesthouse Bungalow 3

Said's place was perfect for my partner and I. We stayed in simple yet beautiful bungalow surrounded by green and the garden. You might spot monkeys and bush pigs just a few meters away from you. Besides that the place is mega quite, barely any noise besides sea, wind and occasionally some birds. The bungalow is 30 seconds from one of the best beaches in Pemba Island, right in between two luxury hotels, so if you feel like having a (expensive) meal somewhere different once in a while, you can always drop at one of the hotels close by. Said is an extraordinary host. He took care of us so well, arranging rides, masks and helping us even planning for the next part of our trip in Tanzania. The restaurant is also impeccable. Food is healthy, tasty and differs a lot from day to day. Finally, Said's place was great for us because of the WIFI. As I was working from there, WIFI was quite important to me and Said's WIFI was among the best WIFIs I have encountered in Tanzania!

Sharook Riviera Grand Lodge (4/8)Queen_Bed

The room looks the same as in the pictures, especially the AC that works very well. The receptionist Khamis is very responsive and kind. You can have breakfast and see flying foxes (actually bats) after sunset on the rooftop. The house locates near the ferry, and 15 minutes walking distance to town. People in Pemba are super nice, jackfruits are very cheap (1 dollar for one!!!). I started missing it right after I left.
