Private Lakefront Cottage w/ Hot Tub & Park Pass
Loved my stay at Andreas place! Such a cozy Airbnb & so peaceful with the water front. You can tell she cares about her space, beautifully decorated and makes you feel right at home. Loved the paints and brushes that were left out for a fun activity to do!

Beach House Point
We loved our stay. Very close to Point Pelee National Park. The park pass came in handy for birding each day. (We got to skip the queue with the pass). We loved the cozy feel of the living room with the gas fireplace. Nice to sit out on the dock and soak up the afternoon sun.

KINGS WOODS LODGE - Nature Resort + Venue
It was so great! 5th anniversary girls weekend trip for 10 gals in our 40s. I didn’t take an official poll, but we have travelled to Georgian Bay, Lake Huron and now here and this was a fave of more than a few! Beautifully appointed - we mentioned more than once that we wish this place had an Amazon storefront (give us the links!) Lots of places to sit and easy to move furniture around as necessary. Not a tonne of counter space in kitchen but with some improvisation it was easy enough to make do. Sleeping arrangements were the only bummer as we booked for 10, not realizing that included 2 on an air mattress. Just read closer than we did and you’ll be fine. It was a great stay! And the privacy was great as we like a little karaoke 🎤 in the evening hours. 🎶

Blue Beach House
The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful and quiet this home is. It is on a private road, right on the lake, with its own beach. Beth was always responsive, including sending in cleaners one day when we needed some help with some flying bugs that had managed to get in (not due to a flaw in the home). At some point we will be back to Kingsville and this is the home we will book!

Waterfront Paradise, Adorable Tiny House Retreat
Donna's little house here is very peaceful and sweet. There's a few things in the area for slow mornings, and with Detroit nearby you won't have any issues if you want to get out. Great place to wind down at the end of the day, or to spend a quiet day.

Point Pelee Beach House
We really enjoyed our stay at Shannon’s cottage. We were at Point Pelee for birding and this was the perfect location. Everything was as described and we felt very comfortable. Thanks for a great week!

Lakefront Beautiful Private Vacation Suite
Absolutely wonderful people. Very friendly and were extremely responsive. The property was absolutely stunning.

Beachfront Tiny Home Private beach amazing views
This tiny house was the perfect place to have a girls get away. It was only steps to the water and provided beach chairs. Very relaxing! Awesome patio and lounge chairs. Great hospitality, host was very friendly.
Your guide to Pelee Island
All About Pelee Island
The 10,000-acre Pelee Island has the distinction of being the largest landmass in Lake Erie and the southernmost populated point in Canada (the Ontario island is also off the coast of Sandusky, Ohio). Its location on the Western Basin of Lake Erie makes it a popular spot for catching smallmouth bass and walleye, and on land you’ll find numerous reserves and conservation areas that are home to animals and insects like the swallowtail butterfly and the Eastern spiny soft-shelled turtle — who love the island’s marshlands. You could spend your entire time here outdoors, hiking to the 1833 lighthouse at Lighthouse Point Provincial Nature Reserve or wandering through Stone Road’s wooded and limestone alvars. Pelee Island is recognized as a globally significant bird area because of its location between the major migratory routes of the Atlantic and Mississippi flyways. Continue your appreciation of nature from the town of Pelee Island, where it’s possible to grab fish and chips with a lakeside view, or sample the local grape harvest from one of Canada’s oldest wineries.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Pelee Island
Pelee Island’s climate is one of the mildest in Canada, and generally summers are warm — making this a popular time to book Pelee Island rentals and to possibly take on the half-marathon — and winters are cold and quiet with occasional snow. Spring and fall are comfortable, although temperatures start to drop in November, and you’ll see migratory birds flying over town during these shoulder seasons.
Top things to do in Pelee Island
The Pelee Island Bird Observatory
Pelee Island is a popular spot with birders, and the Pelee Island Bird Observatory is a great place to spot one of the many species of resident and migratory birds who make their home here. Local volunteers are knowledgeable about loons, herons, hawks, owls, and woodpeckers — just a handful of the more than 300 species you might spot.
Pelee Island Heritage Centre
The Pelee Island Heritage Centre focuses on the island’s history through exhibits exploring the archeological evidence of the island’s Indigenous peoples, a display on the shipwrecks in the Western Basin, and infographics on Pelee Island species that are at risk of extinction.
Pelee Island Waterfront Trail
The Pelee Island Waterfront Trail is a 17-mile path that extends around the shoreline of Lake Erie. It passes along quiet country roads, farmlands, and vineyards along an ecological trail system that connects beaches, forests, dunes and marshes. You can spot rare native plants along the trail, as well as spotted turtles, salamanders, and butterflies.
