Farmstay vacation rentals in Pecos River

Leaping Deer Ranch had the most remarkable amenities of any place our family has ever stayed (and we’ve stayed at some incredible places.). Colin was so responsive and helpful, yet out of the way during our stay. The people on staff were amazing as well! The ranch is stunningly beautiful and worth every single penny. My only regret is that we would have stayed longer and explored the property more! We hope to be back another time.

If we could give The Farmhouse 10 stars we would in a heartbeat. Responsive and welcoming hosts, extremely comfortable home and peaceful surroundings. My husband, son, mother in law and myself stayed for 3 nights and felt completely at home. It’s an Airbnb you will look forward to coming home from at the end of the day. Magical place.

If you are looking for the perfect place to be in the woods and see lots of wildlife look no further. This place was in the perfect location as it is right next to the golf course where all the elk love to hang out. We saw lots of elk and mule deer during our stay here. The place is super welcoming and we felt right at home. The beds were extremely comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay and explore Ruidoso!

My two friends and I were visiting for a conference and we were so enchanted by Melanie and Paul's beautiful and peaceful property. The beds were so comfortable that we fell asleep immediately. We had such a nice time chatting with them the next morning. I wish we could have stayed longer - hopefully will be back next time we're in Santa Fe! Thank you!

This was our second stay and I have to say we will always look to see if this is available first. Unbelievably peaceful, fenced yard for your pups if traveling with them, the only thing is the stickers but those are unavoidable I believe those are just a part of West Texas. We love this area for its unique beauty and the tranquility. Will always look forward to future trips to this area

We enjoyed the stay at Andrea's place and would come back again. Peaceful, quite, so many stars in the sky, and internet was good enough for vacation. Location was great! Palo Duro Canyon right next door and easy access to the highway. We appreciated having some games to play, the screened porch, fresh eggs, and conversations with Andrea.

We really enjoyed our stay at Machel’s. She was so warm and welcoming and we felt right at home. Her casita was cozy and clean and we had all we needed to cook and be together as a family after days out sightseeing the area. Her horses and goats were so sweet and it was so peaceful to walk around or sit and just enjoy the sunsets after busy days. We felt it was a place we all looked forward to unwinding at after sightseeing all day. We were pleasantly surprised to find there is a loft area with a couple mattresses as well. The roof is lower, maybe about 4 ft. high so it’s technically not a bedroom and it’s open to the kitchen below but my 16 year old daughter slept up there an loved it while my 13 year old son had the back bedroom with the daybed. Machel was super responsive and available if we had any questions or just wanted to chat but she also was very good about giving us privacy. I would definitely return and stay there again. For the money, a definite value. Lots of room and very comfortable. It’s down a dirt road and a little further out than expected but nice place. Highlight was the two bulls who were grazing in side yard

We had a great time! I didn't get to personally meet the host but my friends who did absolutely raved about them. Beautiful place, so serene. loved the layout. The fresh eggs were chefs kiss! Would definitely stay here again.

This was a sweet little anniversary getaway for us with a couple of our children. We enjoyed nearby adventures, hiking, and site seeing. The stocked kitchen gave us the space we needed to make a large breakfast every morning and delicious dinners when we made it back home each night. The entire house is thoughtfully put together and so comfortable. The back porch and swing packs up to a prairie that reminded us of our teen home in Oklahoma. It was Quiet, peaceful, the perfect place to sit outside and drink coffee, and a great place to unwind after wearing ourselves out.

This was a very peaceful stay. Very fun to watch storms roll through, and you can see for miles. Lots of room for kids to run and play. Has the perfect location to visit Palo Duro Canyons. Overall we all felt at home and had an amazing time, and many great memories. Thank you! We hope to return for future trips.

The perfect combination of comfort and mountain seclusion. Lots of comfortable sleeping and relaxing space. We loved the decor, modern amenities and abundance of blankets! We had nice family walks in the forest and scenic drives to nearby areas. Jeanene was very communicative. We’ve already booked to come back :-)

My dearest friends and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Ranchita, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how tastefully decorated every room was- elegant, warm, and inviting with thoughtful details throughout that made the space feel both special and comfortable. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and serene, making it the perfect retreat for a group of friends looking to slow down and reconnect. The outdoor areas were a highlight- beautifully landscaped with cozy seating areas that offered breathtaking views. Whether it was morning coffee with the sunrise or an evening glass of wine under the stars, the setting couldn't have been more perfect. This home is a gem, and we can't recommend it highly enough. It's ideal for anyone looking to unwind in style, surrounded by beauty and tranquility.

Great place to stay with some great views of wildlife

My son picked up this place because he wanted to experience farm life. Yes indeed, he and I had a short stay with a wonderful farmer style experiences. The owner kindly showed us their cows and checks and let us feed them. They also explained the traditions and the unique festivals of their community activities. We definitely want to go back next time when we have a chance.

Darlien is a great host and is very responsive. The location is great and the cabin was just what we needed. Definitely would stay here again.

April was amazing and I hope to spend time again at her place!

We loved Fiona's place! It was perfect for a getaway with two kids and two dogs. We enjoyed the fenced backyard and being able to walk to restaurants and parks. We will stay here again!

Like a home away from home! Very nice decor. Special extras like coffee, biscotti, and cookies were quite a treat. Wonderful experience.

We absolutely loved our stay in this clean, spacious, well-equipped, and tranquil casita. The setting provides a uniquely authentic New Mexican countryside experience. We enjoyed the chance to see around the property and learn about the organic farming and food distribution businesses Nina and Mat have built. The location is perfect for spending time in downtown Santa Fe and being a bit closer to the surrounding beauty of the area (Bandelier Nat’l Monument, Chimayó, Taos). The hosts live nearby and were friendly, helpful and available while respecting our privacy. We definitely hope to stay here again in the future!
