Huge Private Room, Closet, Bathroom and Office

WalterRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We very much enjoyed staying at Josh's place on the Upper West Side. It's a quieter place than one usually finds in New York and the location was great--easy to get to wherever we wanted to go, safe area. Josh, his wife, and his sister were so friendly and interesting to talk to and gave us lots of excellent suggestions about where to shop, where to eat, etc. We had never stayed on the UWS before, so their help was invaluable. As well, we appreciated Josh's quick responses to all our questions or requests. The room was large and very comfortable--we especially liked the huge closet. This is a great place to stay in New York, and we highly recommend it. Thank you, Josh!

Marilyn’s room was PERFECT. It was such a warm and beautiful place you really feel like you’re in a nyc classic apartment. Temperature and bed were great. The neighbourhood is very nice and close to a beautiful park and 4 blocks away from the D train that takes you downtown in 30 minutes. The check-in was super straight forward. Will definitely stay there again!

Luxurious Central Park Gem w/ Private Terrace

VincentRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Raju and Sangini made us feel at home - really great and thoughtful hosts. Excellent communication/conversation, lots of privacy, quiet neighborhood and apartment. Right next to north central park, 5 minutes walk from the heart of Harlem, 2 minutes from the subway - you cannot beat the location for this price. The space is super clean and beautiful, with top notch amenities and a super comfortable bed. We loved our stay there and are bringing back home fond memories.

Gabby was such an awesome host! Super friendly and super flexible when I had to do an unexpected late night check-in due to flight and transportation issues. The bedroom is spacious with a very comfy mattress! The spot is in close walking distance to the Subway which was very convenient. I would totally recommend staying here and would book again in the future!

Cozy Private Bedroom, Close to NYC via Direct Bus!

GurpreetRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great place to stay if you are looking to be in a quiet place in NJ near the water - takes 5 min to get a bus towards NYC number 128/165/166 and 40 minutes via Lincoln tunnel to NY port authority bus terminal which connects to subway system and you can exit and walk 10 min to core of Times Square ! Overall if you are vacationing in NYC and have time to commute 1 hour each way then this is a great choice of place The bus rides in the day and night show you the manhattan sky line views which a beautiful! The home is clean- spacy (not cluttered), rooms as well - decent bed, the AC Fan is noisy :( -(as well you can hear the people in other rooms, some respect silence timings and some don’t). Rooms have space for items, hangars- they provide towels & scrunchies and bath soap shampoo which was a very nice start along with water and chips :) good welcome kit We were able to check in slightly early and leave bags for check out! We got to meet them and say hi too :) one of the days! Thanks!

A Stay You’ll Never Forget – Hospitality Like No Other Staying at Yakov’s home was truly one of the highlights of our trip to New York. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. Yakov, a kind and spirited former priest, is the very definition of hospitality. He greeted us with warm tea, thoughtful snacks, and the most genuine smile you can imagine. What makes Yakov’s place so special isn’t just its incredible location—just a block off the northwest side of Central Park—but the man himself. With over 56 years of life in the city, Yakov has stories that could fill volumes. He knows New York not just as a place, but as a living, breathing experience—and he’s more than happy to share that insight with his guests. Whether you’re looking for the best hidden food spots, local gems, or just good conversation, Yakov has you covered. His home is cozy, clean, and filled with character, much like its host. It felt more like visiting a wise old friend than staying in a rental.
