Monthly Rentals in Paralia Megas Lakkos

We enjoyed our stay at George's place very much and would definitely book here again. Very quiet location, but only 3 minutes by car from the beautiful, clean sandy beach Megas Lakkos, which was also extremely quiet in mid-August. We also appreciated the practical outdoor shower. And that we found chilled water, jam, butter and rusks in the fridge for breakfast when we arrived late was a lovely gesture from our host. We communicated with son John, who is extremely friendly and helpful. We will also recommend this place to our friends :)

We had a wonderful stay. The panoramic views from the house are beautiful and the setting is very peaceful. Everything is as described and the house is well equipped and comfortable. As others have said you definitely need a car but you are rewarded with stunning views in a very special location. You can drive to Lixouri in about 15 minutes where there is a great choice of restaurants and there is a good supermarket about 10 minutes away. This was our first visit to Kefalonia and we very much hope to return to the island and to this house!

We had an amazing stay at Akis & Eleni's property. It was presented exactly as it was in the pictures and perfect for our family vacation. It's a private property, so very peaceful, with an amazing pool, outside area and sun loungers. Just a very short walk out the back of the garden and you are on a lovely (very unique) beach. There is a great beach bar if you turn left, and a short walk around (through the water) some rocky outcrops (or via some steps to avoid the water), a larger selection of beachside bars and restaurants, and water activities. You'll need a car for the supermarket and exploring the rest of the island, but it was the perfect bolthole for us for a week. Akis & Eleni were excellent hosts, and very easy to contact to provide you with the peace of mind you need on a family trip. Would highly recommend this to one family or two!

Seemed like paradise, we stayed late May before the season started properly and it felt like we had almost exclusive access to the incredible beach. The views from the cabin terrace were breathtaking at all times of the day and night. The peace was total and we completely recharged. A nice little beach bar-restaurant, Fishbones, just a ten minute stroll along the beach. Very unpretentious and definitely good enough food for lunches or suppers so we didn’t need to cook much. Lixouri only ten minutes by car for shopping and to take the ferry over to Argostoli if a more energetic day-trip felt necessary. We only did this on our leaving day, we wanted to be on the cliff top all the rest of the time! We’ve already booked our next visit…
