Pā Tōrea Beach Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Pā Tōrea. The yurt is in a gorgeous, private, beach-front location. The space is clean and has everything you could possibly need - From outdoor fairy lights to a thoughtfully stocked kitchen. Emily and Grant were wonderful hosts. Thank you for having us, we look forward to staying again :)
A panoramic view is presented, showcasing lush greenery and distant ocean waters under a clear blue sky. The spacious patio area features wooden railings and a bench, inviting guests to enjoy the serene landscape and vibrant natural surroundings.

Ashu Landing

We stayed 8 nights at the lovely whare Aroha and had a lovely and relaxing time in some of the most beautiful surroundings imaginable! We had a minor snag on first arrival as we didn't absorb the instructions about the dirt road up from the highway, but we were rescued by the lovely Jai, who ran us up and down each time for the rest of our stay That aside the place was so nice, with lovely quiet and well kept cottages and villas - just the thing for a family looking to get away from it all! The place is a retreat type location to get away from busy modern life, so note no WiFi, so suggest at least one of your party has data.

Karaka at The Apple Pickers' Cottages

Absolutely loved the stay here on the water! Although the sun was hiding for the few days we were in town, we were able to enjoy the cottage and get some much needed R&R 😊 Elspeth was there to greet us and was a wonderful host. A+++++
A stunning coastline is depicted, featuring cliffs with lush greenery and pristine sandy beaches. Gentle waves lap against the shore, creating a peaceful scene under a clear blue sky. The rocky outcrops and hilly terrain extend towards the horizon, showcasing the natural beauty of this remote area.

Remote Cottage in endless Nature and Views

PeterRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The cottage is a basic (and somewhat dated) bach. Kitchen gear is limited, fridge is small, and since the nearest anything is an hour+ away that is a bit of a problem. But daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn those views. The views from the cottage at high tide are mindblowing, but the hikes to the beaches at lowtide are simply spectacular. One word of caution. The property is a working sheep station, so don't wear your dancing shoes.

Relaxing Cosy Ruru Tiny House in Pohara

OmerRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Angie is an amazing host. Other than we asked so many questions and favors, all she has been doing was being nice, calm and supportive. The tiny house isn't so tiny.. we were very surprised to see how big the house is versus tiny houses. You have a beautiful lake just in front of you, the house has all amenities you need for cooking or relaxing. There is no wifi - we kinda liked it, place to talk with your partner and have a great night with her. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. Would come again! We wish you the best, thank you!

Self-contained flat with stunning views!

KatherineRating, 5 stars15 months ago
I cannot describe how beautiful this place is. I think I will remember it for the rest of my life. Do yourself a favor and stay here for at least a couple of nights. I wished I’d had more time. In addition to the beautiful surroundings (including a view of the ocean) the place was absolutely spotless and had everything I needed.
An open-plan living area features large glass doors that provide views of the ocean. A wooden ceiling with exposed beams enhances the space's warmth. The seating area includes a dark leather sectional and a wooden coffee table, positioned on a soft rug, with a wood-burning stove visible in the corner.

Modern Bach - Private waterfront access + Kayaks

FionaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My stay at Ligar Bay was great and had everything I was looking for. The property had a private deck that was very relaxing to sit on while looking at the water. I found the house was warm and didn't need the heater even though it was cold outside. Would stay again.
