House vacation rentals in Ostend

Stayed with two families and it was a very nice stay. The upper house is very spacious and tidy and the balcony had a soothing view. In the kitchen everything was available and the bathrooms were also well equipped. That we could use the swimming pool and also the playground equipment was an extra plus. Nearby, there was also plenty to do, with both Bruges and Ostend within half an hour's drive. In short, this accommodation is definitely recommended!

This cottage is very impressive. We stayed in the middle of winter with temperatures around zero yet the heating system was superb and we were always warm. As noted by other guests the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. There is a huge family dining table which we enjoyed a lot. We used the cottage as a base for touring but also enjoyed a lovely walk along the seafront. There is a very good broadband connection as well. If you have an EV then there are 22Kw chargers in De Haan and also state of the art Fastned rapid chargers about 8Km away at Junction 5a on the A10 near Ostend. The Fastned charger accepts bank cards and you do not need an APP.

We had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful home! The wellness area is like having your own private spa. The kids loved the swimming pool (which is great for kids) and the jacuzzi!! There are also beautiful gardens. Thank you and we hope to visit again!

Small comfortable space for our large family (4 children). Everything is functional and, quite convenient, the house has 2 toilets (one separate and the other in the bathroom). Small, clean and peaceful garden with a terrace that we could have enjoyed if the heat had been there😁. The house is in a residential area a little far from the center of Bredene (2 good kms on foot) but close to the tram station (10 min walk) which easily serves De Haan on one side and Ostend on the other side. At the end of the path leading to the tram stop (3 min further) from the dunes and quiet beaches. In short, a place to recommend for short stays and for up to 6 people. Responsive and clear host in explanation.

We had a great weekend with 6 adults and 2 children. Aukje is a very flexible host! The house is very spacious and has a beautiful garden! The swimming pool is a nice extra for when it is very hot. The beds were neatly made on arrival. Important to note that the room with the sofa bed is adjacent to a large double room with a curtain and the rooms cannot be completely darkened. The supplies in the kitchen are also minimal (e.g. few large bowls, no aperitif bowls or oven dish, no regular soda glasses). It's also best to bring your own extra coffee beans if you are big coffee drinkers.

We had a totally relaxing break here in the beautiful, quiet home, with a wonderfully wide view (even from the bathtub :-). You can hike here great, there are beautiful, local bistros, the nearest town is 20 minutes' walk, the nearest town 20 minutes by bike. We really didn't miss anything and if it had been warmer, we would have definitely used the large pool. Thank you so much to our host!

Fantastically located, fabulous tranquility, unique historical architecture, tasteful interior design. Everything worked and was clean. Not the usual imperfections that you often have with top accommodations. Everything was right here, down to the attentive, friendly and always very quick communication with the host. We were 100% satisfied.

Booked the place for a stay with my husband with 3 other couples and the lodge was beautiful. we thoroughly enjoyed the space and the rooms, it was cosy and clean and the lodge was not difficult to locate. We wished we booked a longer stay! Laura was also very helpful and prompt with questions we had, thank you dear!

The only warning for guests is to take into account that there are many stairs, exactly 87 steps to get to the last room, about thirty just to reach the first floor where there is a kitchen and living room. Apart from this drawback of the stairs, the house is beautiful and in the heart of Ostend.

We stayed for 4 days at the Manor: 8 adults, 4 teenagers and 3 grandchildren. Everyone quickly found their place because the place is incredibly welcoming! The outdoor spaces are full of small corners for activities: jacuzzi, petanque, BBQ, large tables, garden shed, brazier and so on are a real plus! The rooms are very beautiful, spacious, tastefully furnished! The bedding and sheets smell good, you sleep very, very well there! The different lounges are super beautiful, the pool table and darts occupy the largest pleasantly. And finally: the kitchen: visually, a step back in time but technically: impeccable. Plenty of dishes, all the equipment is there and the large stoves are super convenient for cooking for large families! Really, nothing missing! And François… a great host, discreet but ultra responsive when necessary! A 10/10 for us!

We felt very comfortable in the house. Everything was available and the children had a lot of fun with the available games and in the outdoor area. Thanks to Ines' tips, we knew right away where to get our rolls in the morning, where there are good fries and - which in our case would unfortunately be necessary - where the nearest good doctor is. Luk’s place is fab. Really light and we loved the decor. Would 100 % recommend and would definitely return. De Haan is a lovely neighbourhood with some greats bars and restaurants and very handy for visiting Bruges and Ghent and getting the tram to Ostend. We really liked the James Ensor House. We had such a great stay. Thank you Luk!

Everything was perfect!! The house is in a very good location, a 15-minute walk from the sea, in a quiet area. Clean, warm house, lots of board games, outdoor games, darts, from the toaster to the hair dryer, nothing is really missing in terms of amenities. Very good bedding as well. We had a very pleasant stay in this vacation home! The house itself is very comfortably furnished and peak clean. Everything was available to make our stay as comfortable as possible, especially thanks to the very equipped kitchen and the good beds on which we slept wonderfully. The house is very quietly located, perfect for completely relaxing. Nevertheless, the location is also ideal: you can easily go different sides towards all kinds of seaside towns and other beautiful places nearby. The host and hostess were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Communication went very smoothly; Giel always responded via Airbnb, which we really appreciated. A special added value for our stay was the newborn lambs on the neighboring domain. Our children were completely fascinated by the animals and found it fantastic that they were even allowed to pet a lamb! Highly recommended for those looking for a clean, quiet and welcoming stay!

Our stay was great, everything super neat and everything was provided. The house is very nicely decorated and very spacious. Very nice bathrooms with great showers and bath. The dogs have been able to play well in the garden. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back.

We (4 adults and 2 children) had a lovely 3 nights at Coolhuys. The house is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood just outside the city. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us and we really loved the house. The walk into the centre of Bruges is charming as you basically follow one of the canals down. It takes about 20 to 25 mins. We would definitely stay here again!

We booked the accommodation in function of our wedding and we have often booked through airbnb, but the hospitality we experienced here we have never experienced before. Fantastic! Carine & Ignace suggested taking photos in their beautiful garden, a bottle on arrival, Carine came by with transparent umbrellas for rainy weather, they were ready for the babysitters who slept with our children in the cottage. The house is exactly as in the books and yet you immediately feel welcome with kids. Toys, plastic plates and cups, bibs. Everything is provided. Thank you for everything! Love, Coopman family

With five adults, we had a very nice 4-day family stay. A beautiful vacation home and quiet location. The furnishings of the kitchen leave nothing to be desired. If we visit the Belgian coast again, we will contact Jozefien & Alain. Thank you.

We took a family vacation in Middelkerke, including two smaller children. The apartment was large and spacious, there was enough room for everyone. It is well equipped with everything you need, especially the existing bed linens and towels are very helpful. We felt very comfortable. The beach is within walking distance, as are grocery stores, bakeries, etc. A few meters from the property is a very inexpensive parking garage, which can be used well as a parking space for vehicles. The host made it very easy for us and was very cooperative and flexible from the start. We will be happy to come back!
