This spacious home plus the bunkhouse beautifully hosted our three-generation group of 9. The setting is spectacular and the home’s indoor and outdoor amenities were enjoyed by all. We played games in the great room, sweated in the sauna, jumped in the cold lake, soaked in the hot tub, told stories around the fire ring, cooked delicious meals in the well-appointed kitchen and slept soundly in comfortable beds. We biked around Miners Lake and into town. Everyone enjoyed the International Wolf Center and challenging hikes or runs on easily accessible trails. Our two dogs kept the resident chipmunks on their toes and enjoyed exploring new trails with us.

We liked Deer Lake and the cabin. We used the fire pit and hot tub And they were nice. The lake path has steps so if you’re old you will need to take the long path by the hot tub. Our only complaint were the knifes in kitchen need to be sharpened and it would be nice to have a ground floor TV not just the one in loft. Kids caught fish off dock. Overall it was a good stay!

Absolutely gorgeous cabin, really close to some great hiking too! The outdoor tub was great for some stargazing and the wood stove kept the place nice and cozy. I absolutely plan on returning

We had a couple of issues at check in and Jason went above and beyond to get everything just right for us. My family had a fantastic stay and are already talking about coming back next year.

It was clean and just like the pictures shown. The view was also beautiful and Joellen was very quick with her responses!

We stayed at John's place in the winter, and it exceeded our expectations. The place was clean and well-stocked. Running the log stove and sauna were a must, as they were the only way to stay warm. We saw a wolf and many other wildlife during our stay. Snowshoeing on the nearby lakes were a highlight. The trails marked by Dave were easy to follow, along with the maps they provided. If you are looking for a peaceful trip surrounded by nature, you found the right place! Thanks to John and Dave for being so helpful and responsive.

Awesome spot! This cabin is very peaceful and private. You have the entire peninsula to yourself to enjoy! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a boundary waters like remote experience but still wants to sleep in a bed.

My wife and I visited here as part of a North Shore trip for her birthday, and it was a wonderful little mountaintop haven. The view from the deck alone is worth the trip—actual miles of Lake Superior stretching across the horizon. We would wake up, spend the morning drinking coffee and reading Aurelius on the deck, and happily soaking in the sunshine and savoring the unparalleled vista.

Betty’s Pies was just close enough to the location for us to hop on our electric bikes and enjoy the easy, scenic, back-country ride, culminating of course in the happy indulgence of celebratory birthday pie. It was honestly just the mix of relaxation, peace, and beauty that our tiring souls were in need of at the end of our trip, and our host was entirely thoughtful, communicative, and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Perfect for what we were looking for!!

Beautiful rustic cabin that was enjoyed by everyone in the group. Plenty of space to spread out for our group of 5 , the bay the cabin is on is so peaceful and quiet, really appreciate Ryan and Jared as hosts, they made the experience one to remember with such a nice property and ambience.

This was a perfect little place for a getaway to decompress. The wood burning stove kept the cabin comfortable with the springtime temps. Enjoyed seeing deer in the surrounding forest each morning. Great place to read, relax and disconnect.

Brian has a beautiful property near Two Harbors. The place was immaculately clean and well maintained. We were able to feel relaxed during our whole stay. We communicated with Brian that we were bringing our two dogs and the process was simple and quick. Our dogs had a blast around the property. Overall I highly recommend!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Willow's place — calm, peaceful, and pleasant from start to finish. The sunroom with glass windows all around was an amazing extension, giving us an immersive experience of the surrounding trees, nature, and gentle light throughout the day. We spent hours just relaxing there, listening to the sounds of the woods and watching the light change. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, and the location beside the pond made everything feel serene. There are so many things to explore nearby, like Tioga beach and a good number of lakes and bays to catch sunset. Highly recommended.

Awesome cabin on a beautiful lake! The cabin is in a quiet location with great lakeside amenities. The cabin is beautifully decorated and is very well stocked. Heidi and Paul are great hosts with a quick response time to any questions. I would highly recommend this cabin!

Perfect place for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Well appointed kitchen with just the right equipment to be able to cook nice meals. Setting was beautiful, we really enjoyed watching the house birds and the changing weather on the water.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hideaway! We drove up from Mississippi for a white Christmas and spent most of our time ice skating on the lake, reading, and playing board games. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation: books, games, puzzles, the lake, even extra dog bags for clean up. My oldest went ice fishing a few times. As an amateur baker, I loved that the kitchen had things like bread pans, a pastry blender, a dough scraper, etc. It made the Christmas and New Year’s baking of delicious breads and desserts much easier. Highly recommend and considering another stay this summer!

We had a great stay! The cabin is perfect for a weekend in the woods no matter the weather. The cabin is also baby friendly being all on one level. Lovely spot all around.

Wonderful house on a beautiful lake. Loved it!!!! Everything in house worked as it should. It was very pleasant with huge sliding glass doors onto deck overlooking lake. Think it's the nicest airbnb I've stayed in.
