Great location, super easy to find. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay close by to the city but also want a more quiet stay.
A scenic view captures the setting sun casting soft hues of pink and orange across the sky, with the landscape below revealing a tranquil bay framed by distant hills. The residential area in the foreground is nestled among lush greenery, reflecting the serenity of the surroundings.

Tranquility On The City Verge

Great stay. Perfect for me, was looking for a place with views and at a decent but not too long walking distance from the city. Perfect for people at conference for example that still want to get some activity in and have sense of place, otherwise you just roll out of a hotel and into conference without realising you are in Wellington. Private, clean, practical amenities, clear instructions and how wonderful to have thoughtful details such as strings of lights on the table outside and inside on the bed to guide me (I arrived after sunset). I loved the walk to and from city (30 minutes to Tākina/ Te Papa, whichever route you take (either well lit pavement route down Palliser road or take the nature route - Victoria lookout and then through the Mount Victoria town belt - and bump into locations from LOTR such as where the hobbits hid from the black riders under tree roots). Thanks for having me:-)

Enjoyed our stay a lot, easy to access the city center and walk to a lot of places. Comfortable bed and the cottage has everything for a perfect city trip stay. If you are staying here, bring some flip flops or easy shoes to walk to the bathroom! 😊 Extremely soft robes are provided and hot coffee for the morning was a treat too!

Bay Suites Apartment 2- free parking

Beautiful and comfortable accommodations. It was nice to have covered (and secured) parking but it is tight. Definitely a challenge to park a big vehicle but they offered an alternative if the vehicle didn’t fit which was really nice.

Tiny Inner City Cottage

SaraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had an amazing time at Jeannine's cottage. It feels homely and cosy. We loved the quirkiness of the bedroom space (comfortable and warm even with strong winds ourside) and of the bathroom a few steps across the courtyard. The cottage had plenty of space for us and is within walking distance of both city centre and Mt. Victoria and we used easily uber when we had to be somewhere quickly. Gary was shy at first but was clearly more comfortable around us after a day or two and we loved the cuddles but he is clearly very self sufficient! All worked perfectly and we genuinely loved our stay and would stay again. Jeannine is a kind, friendly and responsive host. A pleasure to communicate with and gave us plenty of suggestions about how to move around the city based on what we needed to do while in Wellington.
