Located on the right bank of the Douro River, facing south and west, it has stunning views over the River and the Douro Valley. It has four houses that were old farmhouses, now adapted for Rural Tourism. They are surrounded by organically farmed orange groves and vineyards. Casa do Povo is part of a group of houses inserted in Quinta Barqueiros D'Ouro, located in Barqueiros, in the Douro Demarcated Region. Taking advantage of the privileged location and view, the guest is in permanent contact with the river and the vineyard. With a privileged view of the Douro and Bestança rivers, Douro Studio is located in the picturesque village of Pias, at the foot of the Bestança valley and Serra do Montemuro. Vald´arêgos - Cortiço House

CORTIÇO: The apartment overlooking the Douro is named “Cortiço”. It is so called, in homage to honey, a secular food that was also produced on our property, exactly in this place. The family gathered to extract this nectar, laboriously produced by the bees, to serve not only as a delicacy, but also as a home remedy for everyday ailments.
