Cabin vacation rentals in Old Fort

The cabin was lovely and we had a great time there . Communication with owners was easy and prompt. The cabin is hidden in the mountains , but easy to find and with good access . We felt safe . The cabin is 100 years old but beautifully renewed , without taking the feeling that you are in a traditional mountain cabin . We also enjoyed the nearby community and the kind people living in the area . We loved the stay and we plan to return .

When my friends and I arrived, we walked through each room shouting, "Wow!" We originally planned for a day trip to Asheville, but this place was so beautiful we just decided to stay in. The highlights were the view from the porch, the hot tub, and the rec room. Highly recommended stay and I wish I could've stayed longer

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Mama. The location was peaceful and private, the house itself was beautifully furnished inside! Loved everything about it. Host was extremely informative and responsive. Highly recommend to any family looking for a well equiped place to vacay!

had a great, peaceful stay at this cabin!! the hosts were amazing - there was a power outage in the area and they reached out several times to provide updates. I really appreciated their responsiveness and care about our stay. the driveway gave us absolutely no problems. we drive a Toyota corolla. I loved sitting out on the porch and listening to the birds sing. felt like I was in the middle of a forest. area is very tranquil but fun amenities are just a short drive away.

This cabin was absolutely magical! We visited on Memorial Day weekend and it could have been more perfect! It’s a beautiful cabin that has amazing views and really makes you feel at home. Our dog Luna absolutely loved the place! They left a whole variety of movies and games for us to enjoy while we were there as well! They also included a list with the best restaurants, hikes spots and things to do! We didn’t want to leave when our trip was over! Would love to come back one day in the future!

This is a 5 star review only because there’s not an option for more stars. This place is incredible. The cabin has spectacular views of nature. Everything in the cabin is simple and beautiful. Jessica has thought of everything from welcome card and wine to robes and shoes for the hot tub. The cabin is a short drive to Asheville but don’t miss out on what Weaverville has to offer. Lots of local spots with great food and vibes. Our three day stay was absolutely amazing and we did not want to leave. Cannot recommend this place enough! We hope to visit again!

We absolutely loved staying at Rivers Edge! Cutest little cabin with the best view! We got to see a fox across the river looking for some food and a family of deer crossing the river this morning before we left! Cabin was stocked with everything you need and the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in! We will be back and refer all our friends to stay at this mountain paradise!

5 star stay - the location was about as perfect as you can get for outdoor adventures, and the cabin was exactly what we needed. The space was clean, has all amenities you’d need but the outdoor space is where the magic is at. The outdoor shower is really awesome and it was nice to be able to use the sauna as well. Highly recommend Babel Tower hike for a great view.

Very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. Home was clean and cozy! Highly recommend and will stay here again. Bed and furniture very comfortable and the hot tub was relaxing. Having shampoo and body wash as well as phone chargers (the things you tend to forget) was amazing. Nicely decorated! Porch is very relaxing and peaceful!

The house is a very cute out in the mountains! The creek in the backyard and the sauna are easily the highlights!

Kelsey was the best host I have ever had and we've stayed many many places and I can be quite hard to please as far as how clean a house is. Her house was immaculate and my family and I felt so at home and comfortable that we all took a nap as soon as we unpacked. The house is so peaceful and perfectly decorated. Kelsey always met my questions with a quick response and always offered the perfect remedy. The home itself is very private and you feel like you are in the middle of the mountains while being 1 mile from downtown Black Mountain. Perfect location. Quiet and etherial. Could not ask for more. All amenities were high quality and I literally could not think of a single thing I would change. Exceptional.

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin in the woods. Very quiet and peaceful, just what we needed after a long day at our workshop. Will definitely stay here again.

Great little cabin! Spacious, clean, very pet-friendly, peaceful surroundings and private, beautiful location close to trails, wineries, etc. Highly recommend! Internet did not work for us but host was very responsive. Something to check on before arriving just in case it is essential, but we enjoyed unplugging and relaxing outside most of the time!

This place is breath taking. Absolutely beautiful! It’s a little drive from Asheville but most definitely worth the drive. The space was clean and bed was very comfortable. Will definitely be going back soon.

We have two special needs handicapped boys and we wanted to take them someplace extra special for Christmas this year. We’ve never really been anywhere besides visiting family, so we were a bit anxious about going to a cabin in the mountains. But the cabin was exactly as described and Julie assured me that it didn’t snow and ice over until January mostly. So we braved the trip and absolutely loved it. I can’t describe how cozy and special it was to be able to have our boys with us all in one cozy cabin so high up where the boys could enjoy the scenery. Wonderful lovely cabin and friendly host…thank you for answering all my questions about the accessibility! We will definitely return in the future!

This is our second stay at Indigo Retreat and we plan to return again next summer. It has the most beautiful surroundings and the rushing waters from the creek are very tranquil. We highly recommend to everyone else.

I stayed at this cabin for a weekend and it was exactly as described. The cabin was beautiful, thoughtfully stocked, clean, and private. The instructions to find the cabin were very helpful, so I highly recommend reading over them. If you are looking for a cabin in a peaceful and scenic location, you have found one here!

Brian and Dawn‘s house is just absolutely beautiful. We felt right at home and couldn’t stop enjoying the view. Everything inside and outside is put together with so much love and effort. We travelled with 4 adults and 2 toddlers and all of us loved the stay which included our very first S‘mores. There was enough space for the whole family, a well equipped kitchen, sitting areas, instructions for hiking and recommendations for the area. Brian is a very caring host and makes sure the guests have a perfect stay. Thank you, Brian ! We would love to come back!

Jaclyn’s place was gorgeous. It was exactly as described—spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The view is spectacular. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need. The cozy living area made it feel like a home away from home. The host was very communicative and gracious. I would highly recommend the wonderful home.

This spot was peaceful, private and exactly what I was hoping for. The cabin was clean and thoughtfully prepared. It felt rustic and inviting in all the right ways. I especially appreciated the personal touches…the host left a handwritten card and some snacks for me when I arrived which was a simple but meaningful welcome after a long drive. The location was quiet and surrounded by nature. It felt tucked away yet was still easy to access some great hiking trails and it’s just a 7 minute drive to downtown Weaverville if you want to grab a bite to eat or check out the local shops. The landscape around the cabin was well maintained. The quiet mornings on the porch with coffee in hand, followed by evenings around the fire pit were hard to beat. If you’re looking for a place to unplug, recharge, and enjoy the stillness, this is it. Highly recommend for solo retreats or a quiet getaway with someone who appreciates the slower pace. I’d definitely stay here again!

This is a lovely getaway! Guests are surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature . We even saw a chipmunk! Very clean and stylish. Bed was comfortable. Love the privacy out on back deck. Wish we had more time to stay another few nights. If you need to relax in natural surroundings, with all the special touches, this is the place. Old Fort has been working so hard to make a miraculous recovery. So happy to see!

Great place to come back to after a day of adventure in the area.
