Cabin vacation rentals in Nova Scotia

We had a great stay. It was a fantastic location. So dark at night you could see all the stars. Close to Sussex for coffee and meals, and close to poley mountain and hiking trails. Great way to spend a weekend!! The hot tub was also a big plus.

I have no words. It was everything we were looking for! We’ve already talked about coming back.

I booked this trip as a gift for my in-laws and they absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful spot and a great getaway for those looking for a weekend getaway.

Our first word the moment we stepped into the cabin was: "wow!" We were just looking for an intimate way of celebrating my son's birthday, we didn't know we were in for a treat. This place is the epitome of 'home away from home.' Everything about it was well-thought of. Wether one is looking to take a break out of daily routine or craving a relaxing and refreshing weekend getaway, this is a perfect place to be. The hosts were very accommodating and made their presence felt in the smallest of details. They made sure we have everything we need and we are well taken care of without having to be there physically. Upon checking out, we felt like it was a very short stay and we end up wanting to come back rightaway. This place is worth every cent and definitely worth the wait.

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

It was fantastic. A great place to relax, with all the things you need without sleeping outdoors in a tent. :) I actually went fishing from the shore and caught a fish-that was especially fun.. The hot tub is extra special and very clean. Enjoyed it immensely. The only thing I would say that disappointed us, is that the barbeque was out of propane. but overall, I would highly recommend it and definitely go back. Thank you

Highly recommend this beautiful peaceful paradise. We had a wonderful time. View is beautiful, lake is large, dock is perfect and an excellent large front deck and fire pit to sit back and relax.

Another successful stay at Keith's place. we were visiting family for Thanksgiving and Keith was very accommodating and provided heaters for the chilly weekend weather. Always great to stay at this spot!

Our stay at Mallard at Church Lake was fantastic! The A-frame design is stunning with beautiful decor throughout. The kitchen setup was perfect, and we loved using the outdoor grill for lakeside meals. As birding enthusiasts, we added many new species to our Life List and learned fascinating details about mallard duck behavior and life cycles. The location is a nature lover's dream. What really set this property apart were the excellent accessibility features (wheelchair ramp, no-threshold shower, seamless floor transitions, etc., which accommodated our disabilities. The hosts were communicative before and during our stay, making everything seamless. We enjoyed canoeing and paddleboarding during the day and incredible stargazing at night under clear skies. This property offers the perfect blend of comfort, accessibility, and natural beauty. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to other travellers, especially those needing accessible accommodations!

Lovely cabin with a very nice view on the beach. The cabin is farther from the beach than what we expected from looking at the pictures (it is located on the other side of the road), but nonetheless a cozy space with everything you need. The beach is still only a 3 min walk, and we had a great time at this place. Joeleen is very responsive and friendly!

Loved staying here! Stayed for a week, and it had everything I needed. Absolutely beautiful and would return. Would love to come back in the summer. Highly recommend! amazingly stocked kitchen.

Jodie and Marc’s airbnb was above and beyond what we anticipated. Although the weather wasn’t what we were hoping for, we had such a great time. They had numerous amenities and necessities that were all provided. It was a great place to have a nice staycation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you have any fur friends, this is the place you want to go! Although we didn’t bring any puppers with us, we were pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness Jodie and Marc provide for your furry friends! The thought that has gone into this Airbnb is impeccable. Would definitely stay here again and again!

this is a very special and precious place. extremely intimate, beautiful and quiet. we enjoyed our stay in this cozy nest. lake is fishable with a provincial permit that you can purchase online the only disappointment is that we unfortunately got caught at a high peak of black flies which made impossible for us to spend time outside on the area. we're used to them but it was really out of control this time. better luck next time! We highly recommend the place though, it is really something!

The chalet was on a lovely lot with trees and greenery. We had a great time, and the laundry made a longer stay very easy. The building is very pretty inside and well finished. Sarah was easy to communicate with, and being a dog friendly place on top of everything else made Cedar Chalet a perfect choice for us.

My wife and I definitely will be back for a second visit location is very remote and the sounds of the river which is a rock throw away from the back deck and lower balcony we had a very well needed peaceful sleep very low vehicle traffic was like no one was there!!!!!!! Highly recommended……..

To say we were satisfied is an understatement. We most definitely will be booking again to utilize in the summer season. We rented this time to be closer to the venue holding my sons wedding, and having such a wonderful home and hosts made is so much easier on us ❤️

The perfect place to stay for peace and quiet. You are just far off the beaten path for some rest and relaxation but still close enough where the South shore attractions are just a drive away. The hosts will answer any question you have with a rapid response. Our two labs loved the property and Cailean Rae and Kate made a personalized gift basket for us and the pups. Can't recommend them enough.

Me and my GF stayed here for 2 nights and from the moment we arrived we felt we made the right choice booking this beautifully located cabin by the lake. Everything was as described. Tina was an exceptional host who made us feel welcomed. This little slice of paradise was secluded enough to offer peace and quiet yet close enough to wolfville and surrounding areas to go out and enjoy some nice food at the local restaurants. Id highly recommend this spot if youre looking for a nice relaxing weekend by the lake to kick back and unwind.

Couldn’t be happier with the stay. The place was very nice and the view was amazing. Marc-Andre was very accommodating and made everything very easy and stress-free. If I could leave 6 stars I would!

Fantastic find! The cabin itself is utterly adorable, yet has everything you need. Location felt magical - cabin backs onto a little river, there were huge black willow trees and wild flowers and deer prints in the sand. Off the bedroom, there's a completely screened in deck so you can enjoy the nature without all the bugs. Shower pressure is lack luster, but the overall charm of the place was such that I am planning to go back for a longer stay.

James’ cottage was even more beautiful than the pics. Tons of space for our group of 6 & the entire place was spotless. We recommend this cottage to everyone, we had an amazing stay.

This is a beautiful property, inside and out!, exactly as described, the home has everything you need for a relaxing stay, Jeff was an amazing host and answered every question we had about the place and area quickly with accuracy. The walking trails are very well maintained, the view was stunning and we even had a couple of deer pass in front of the cabin today. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a place like this in this area to book this place, and when back in this area, will definitely stay here again! Thanks Jeff!! Don & Judy
