Villa vacation rentals in Northern Norway

We had a family of six for our 4 night stay in mid June, all adults. Our holiday was nothing short of magical. Yarmo was simply the best host. His place is clean and private and perfect. We had everything we needed, and he even had fresh flowers on the table to welcome us. The wood burning lake sauna was amazing! We so enjoyed having a boat to use on the beautiful lake. The wood burning fireplace was appreciated as well. We plan to return and stay much longer next time. This is our favorite place to be in Lapland, and this was a perfect home to stay. A very enjoyable stay. The house was very easy to find, in a quiet neighborhood and the streets were well maintained, so we didn’t have any problems with icy roads even if there was still a lot of snow! A small but good supermarket was within walking distance. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We cooked almost every day and there was nothing missing. It was very warm and cozy and we felt right at home. There is a lake at the end of the street which is a great aurora viewing spot but if we felt lazy we could very easily see the northern lights just from the back yard!

The apartment was in good condition and the arrangements went smoothly.

Wonderfully comfortable, well designed, extremely well equipped cabin in a beautiful place. We stayed in February, surrounded by sublime snowy forest, solitude, and many nights with the Northern Lights. Stores and gas station are a 10 minute drive, just south of the border with Norway. I can't imagine a better place in a winter wonderland.

We had a wonderfull stay and we enjoyed our vacation a lot. The House Looks exactly Like on the pictures and is very very clean und comfy! We loved the beautiful scenery and the Sauna. Juhani is very accomodating and the Communication was really easy. The House is about 8 minutes away from the Train Station (by car) and calling a Taxi was Not a Problem at all. We will definitly come back again next year. Thank you!

Mikko`s place was amazing, much more than we expected. I fell in love with the pictures and private location (based on maps analysis) but it was much better than described and the photos, will return!! This was by far the most stocked-up place we have stayed at (linens, kitchen appliances, cuttlery and kitchenware, toiletries, firewood for fireplace etc). All equipment is fairly new and in very good state. You have a panoramic view of the bay, perfect to stay indoors enjoying winter wonderland views and/or working remotely. High-speed internet and smart TV enhanced our evenings by the fireplace. We have also took advantage of the built-in sauna (as part of the house, accessible through the glass patio). Mikko is very kind and friendly, gave lots of suggestions and was forward thinking. He was very welcoming and his cottage made us feel right at home. Easy to communicate, even if sometimes some Google Translate is needed - good luck with learning English, Mikko, you are doing great!

It was a second and different accommodation from the same landlord and we can recommend it 100%.

Norastuen was a perfect place for holidays in. Great location in a peaceful neighborhood. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so most of the day was spent out- either by bike or down by the great jetty. We will come back here for sure 😄

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house was beautiful! We got to see the northern lights from the Jacuzzi on the porch! We will definitely stay here again!

The villa was beautiful, modern and clean. amazing picture windows to look out over the forest and incredibly cosy. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked with everything we needed to cook and entertain for the 12 of us and plenty of spare room for the kids to have their own space downstairs. The slopes are definitely walkable, but ski in ski out is cross country only, the walk was however, easy and picturesque so who cares! Id highly reccomend this place if you are looking for classic Finland, cosy retreats, red wine and log fires. The resort was also great but id reccomend a car to go slightly further afield also. All in all another amazing stay in Finland for half term.

Staying in this house in Reine was simply magical! The view from every window does not seem real or even possible, but it is! It is like living inside of a story book! This little village is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in the world! You can easily walk to the Reinebringen trailhead. The hike up all the stone steps is absolutely worth the effort for the spectacular view! We were very comfortable in this house! We loved the updated bathrooms with the heated floor! This home has a lot of character and charm. The atmosphere is truly koselig! I definitely want to return to this exact place with my family again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay in Suvi's fantastic chalet Ideally located on the edge of the forest in a quiet, peaceful and enchanting environment, the chalet is spacious and very well decorated. We were able to take advantage of the peaceful setting to work and do lots of activities. Suvi is very responsive and very kindly granted us a late check-out to accommodate us. We'll be back with pleasure!

We were 4 adults in early February for 6 days in the beautiful Villa Lumi. A great house with a beautiful fireplace and even more beautiful sauna. The house is large, so we had enough room. Villa Lumi is quietly located in a wooded area. Markus was always quick to reach. Even when the access was impassable due to snow drifts, he quickly provided help. Restaurants are within walking distance, for the journey from the airport and for shopping in Muonio you need a car. Unfortunately, we were unable to observe the northern lights – also due to the partly overcast sky. But you can always come back. Markus, thank you very much.

We stayed at Janne's and Knut's place for a long weekend in March and had the most amazing stay. The house was incredibly warm and cosy. From heated bathroom and kitchen floors to great warm water in the showers. Check in was very easy and the hosts were warm, accommodating and flexible. The house is conveniently located 18mins walk to the city centre, so not too far. The thing that made the stay so special were the views from the house of the gorgeous snow covered mountains. We were also lucky enough to see the Northern Lights from the house and its balconies. The beds were also very comfortable. Cannot recommend enough and thank you so much for a truly memorable stay.

Aapo's place is great, very cosy, at a walkable distance to supermarkets. he's also kept snow sleds in his backyard which the kids enjoyed using immensely. the property also has 6 bicycles that can be used freely. the house is squeaky clean with comfortable beds and smoke space to accommodate upto 8 guests, though there is one shower only. but the best thing about the accommodation is Aapo himself... he's the best Airbnb host we have ever encountered... he took us around lapland to remote, very beautiful terrains in his cozy campervan and also organised a lovely barbequeue right in the middle of a snowy trek which made the experience very memorable. as we were checking in late in the evening, he even organised some groceries for us which we requested so our next morning was comfortable. all in all, a great house but an even greater host.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning new log villa on the shores of Lake Rukajärvi, and it was an experience beyond compare. This property combines the best of both modern luxury and natural beauty, offering an exceptional getaway. The serene lakeside setting provides a peaceful escape while still being close to all the action. The design of the villa is both elegant and functional. Downstairs features two spacious bedrooms, a separate toilet, a utility room, and a well-appointed bathroom with two showers and a sauna. The highlight of the downstairs area is the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space, which is crowned by an impressive 6-meter room height and a full glass end wall offering panoramic lake views. This log villa is a true gem. Its combination of luxurious accommodations, stunning lake views, and proximity to Ruka makes it an ideal choice for anyone seeking a memorable stay.

The house is perfect, the lake is a dream place for aurora watching, and meeting reindeer ! Ilkka is of great help to organize activities. I would highly recommend this place.

We were warmly welcomed. The cabin was perfect. We watched whales and northern lights from the terrace. Despite bad weather, we felt very comfortable, we had everything we needed. Lovingly furnished and perfectly equipped. Requests were answered promptly. We say thank you for these three great days. Michaela and Stephanie We will be happy to come back!

The cottage was a short trip from the center and easy to find. The equipment in the cottage was really good and the hot tub was a highlight, especially for the children's trip :) You could also invest a little more in cleanliness outside the seasons, for example, dust balls under the beds. But this was the only downside, we would come again!

Thanks for a great stay! Ann-Chatrine's place was as described and we enjoyed ourselves there. The possibility to swim and sauna was a big plus.

We had a fantastic stay at Andreas’ place in Vågan, just minutes from Svolvær. The location was both convenient and incredibly scenic, with breathtaking ocean views. Andreas and his family were exceptionally accommodating—warm, responsive, and respectful of our privacy while making us feel right at home. He invited us to enjoy the jacuzzi overlooking the water, showed us the beautiful sauna he built himself, and shared fascinating local insights—from a WWII bunker across the street to a rock climbing bolt anchor below the property. He even introduced me to randonnée skis and other cool facts about the area. He also recommended a great restaurant in Svolvær that we really enjoyed. Our conversations were a highlight, and we truly wish we could have stayed longer. This was a memorable experience for our whole family, and we can’t recommend Andreas and his place highly enough.

We had dinner there and it was very nice! The facility has much to offer and the views are great. The hosts are very welcoming :)
