Dit was die wonderlike, stilte plekkie. Ons kom goed uitrus na n lang pad. Ons het ure langs die boma gesit. Dankie vir die hout, dit was lekker om te ontspan langs die vuur. Sal graag weer eendag daar oornag.

Words cannot describe how special Klein Riviertjie is. I chose it as the place to propose to my partner, under the starlit skies of the Karoo, and it was perfect. The house is immaculate with all the amenities one would require; think of it is a refined "cabin". We particularly loved the donkey geyser and fireplace, and the swing couches on the porch. Quarta and her family are absolutely lovely and ensured we were well taken care of. I hope we can go back one day, as it it will forever hold a place in our hearts. We totally recommend it! Some advice for those wanting to visit, the route to get there is a long stretch of dirt roads starting near Beaufort West. Some sections are not in great condition due to recent rains in the Karoo. We managed to get there and back in a small hatchback but it was not easy, and in hindsight would have made a plan to use a car better suited to those kinds of roads. Also, there is zero cell signal once you leave Beaufort West, so do keep that in mind.

The place exceeded our expectations. The beautiful Mountain View’s. We hiked up a mountain, talk about “bucket list” items - went on a quad-biking trail (how awesome?). We would definitely like to go back during the summer to fully experience the pool and bonfire, maybe get a group of friends to join us. Sydney (the host) what a gentleman, he’s so proactive and helpful - you just call out his name and he’s there to assist. We will definitely be coming back to this majestic place. We loved every minute of it. We were here for my partner’s birthday getaway weekend.

we had an amazing stay what was supposed to be 1 night ended up being a 3 night stay . beautiful and tastefully decorated and fully equipped for all your needs. fireplace inside for the cooler nights really good kingsize bed and beautiful linen. if you feel like walking there is lots to explore on this fruitcake or you can just stay in with a good read .

A wonderful stay in the middle of nowhere Karoo - if you’re looking for a night away from your phone and computer, this is it! It’s a gorgeous farm with lots of places to walk and relax. Great hosts who offered dinner after a long day of driving. Will definitely visit again!

Everything was immaculate, and the attention to detail was exceptional. Clear instructions were provided for anything you might need to know. It was such a thoughtful touch to be welcomed with homemade bread, farm-fresh eggs, and jam. The appliances are all brand new, and it was a real pleasure to have modern conveniences like a dishwasher, a spacious gas stove, and even an air fryer. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the spacious living room was perfect for a cosy evening of Netflix and relaxing. We loved walking around the property among the sheep, cows, and horses ... such a peaceful experience. The alarm system was a great addition too, offering peace of mind both at night and when heading out for day trips. 10/10, Would highly recommend!

If you are looking to disconnect with real life and connect with nature then this is the place to go! We had a lovely stay at River Lodge at Karoo Ridge Conservancy. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and considerate with providing a camping cot and feeding chair for our baby and a net over the pool. Everything you need is there. We also did some of the hikes from the River Lodge and went for a great game drive with sundowners. Our dogs enjoyed the space as well. With no cell reception and WIFI at the lodge (only available at the reception shop), this is exactly what we need d for our breakaway. We will definitely visit again.

An absolute gem nestled in a stunning, serene, quiet coast! Magrietha is a super host, is great at communication, gave us good recommendations on what we can do and where we can eat. The space is ideal for two, very warm, intimate & cosy. The bed is super comfortable, clean & lush. The space is adequately equipped with everything you will need. We enjoyed a braai over the bonfire overlooking the beach in beautiful surrounding. Definitely returning!!
