Barn vacation rentals in North Somerset

Such a great place. Cupboards had essentials in and Val left us milk. 2 dressing gowns provided which I thought was lovely. Toiletries in bathroom. Great location , great host and great price!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. The place is exactly as described, a very cosy little cottage with everything you need. Everywhere was clean and tidy apart from general dust you’d expected, with a lovely little basket of treats left for us on arrival. Check in was self done, flexible, and smooth, same with leaving. Lovely little village, a couple of local pubs within walking distance, lovely cafe just next door along with some very friendly ducks, chickens, lambs, goats and the occasional cat. Would absolutely stay here again and 100% recommend if you’re looking for a cosy and quiet get away. During our stay we explored Cheddar, Glastonbury and Frome, all within an hours drive and lots of lovely cafes and independent shops.

We had a fantastic short break at the Old Dairy. The accommodation is very spacious and airy and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Also, the village and surrounding countryside are beautiful, yet we were only a few miles from Bath. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Communication for excellent, as was the home made cake waiting for us! Lovely country location. Property was very clean and tidy, with plenty of towels, for the bathrooms and hot tub. Plenty of info provided on local pubs, restaurants and things to do. Guided ghost walk in Bath was great fun!

We had the most wonderful time staying at the secluded barn for a few nights - we didn't want to leave! The views were amazing with wonderful local walks in nature. Hosts were super attentive and helpful with advice on what to do and where to go. The barn itself was just perfect - great shower, comfy bed, nice little kitchen with a gas stove and a fire pit outside where we cooked sausages under the stars. Left feeling refreshed and happy.

We stayed at the Cattle Byre for our first wedding anniversary - and first trip away with our puppy, Winston, too! The property was finished to a very high standard and had everything we needed for our stay; it felt like a home away from home. The welcome biscuits and bottle of bubbles was a special touch too! Gorgeous location, very peaceful and perfect for a relaxed break away. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely 2 nights stay here. Well presented, modern accommodation with great views and a lovely outdoor space. This was a great alternative to staying in central Bath, yet still within easy reach of all the city has to offer. We were so grateful for the additional touches such a fresh bread, milk, biscuits and tea/coffee supplies on arrival. There was also fully stocked cleaning supplies and a selection of toiletries too. I would highly recommend and hope to stay again in future.

Excellent accommodation and location, we had a very pleasant stay. Hosts were very friendly and approachable, Chestnut Barn was very well layout, charming and homely. The bottle of wine, Bath Soft Cheese, and the breakfast Crossants were lovely and greatly appreciated. We visited Bath, Bristol and went to the Bath soft cheese farm for lunch. All very enjoyable, and well worth seeing, met up with family at local pub, and had an excellent stay. We look forward to visiting again. Many thanks Colin and Julie xx

Great place to stay. I loved the style and how it was decorated. Really clean open space. Everything you need for a night or a week. Walking distance of town, close to some lovely pubs (one of which is right across the road). Lii ok belt few walks close by too. We even managed a walk up the towpath of the canal. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Had a wonderful stay here on the farm, couldn't have asked for more! Trish was a fantastic, responsive and friendly host with lots of useful information about local points of interest! The old stables was so cozy, spotless and comfortable with everything we needed for a great weekend! It was so lovely to see, meet and feed the alpacas and goats on the farm. We had fresh eggs and milk provided as well as some treats and a beautiful welcome card! Would definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the area and looking for a peaceful and unique stay!

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The studio is perfectly clean and comfortable and in such beautiful surroundings. There’s so much to see and do in the nearby areas and we appreciated all of the recommendations! We’ll definitely stay again.

Wow wow wow!! We had such a lovely time at the Barn! It was so nice and peaceful to be tucked away in the English countryside!! I cannot rave about this place more!! If you are looking so a relaxing stay and fun gorgeous farmhouse vibe you got it!! You gotta stay here :)

Can’t thank Catherine enough. Incredibly helpful from booking the stay until we left. It’s a beautiful cosy barn, very peaceful indeed and we slept like babies. Catherine had thought of everything and we even had a welcome hamper with lovely bits x Really easy quick walks to the cheddar gorge. Catherine’s welcome guide explained everything and really did help immensely. Thank you, thank you !! We will highly recommend to our friends and family and will certainly stay again. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment! It was exactly as described—clean, stylish, and very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location was also perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly, and check-in was a breeze. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches and cosy atmosphere.

A lovely stay, convenient location near the mais roads but very quiet and super comfortable. The homemade bread loaf and jam made it even more delightful the experience. Thanks Carol, for the friendly attitude and the quality of your offerings!

I had my 60th birthday at the wheelwrights workshop,great base to explore from,the tor is visible from the bedroom window and we walked into town at least 3 times,its quite a walk but I managed it fine, quirky high street, good selection of pubs and food although we cooked back at the place on a couple of occasions the tor is a must,so is chalice well,the rifleman pub was the closest so we opted to do our drinking there mainly.very happy with my week away and certainly recommend it.

Jo was a great host. Short walk into Frome by pavement or across the fields and along the river side into town. Nice garden with a chiminea and table and chairs for 4. PS Dogs also enjoyed their stay.

A very enjoyable stay at The Barns. Both of the hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming and very happy to help with any problems we had. The place was beautiful, very clean and comfy. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit and we would love to visit again in the future :)

Beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful location. Well equipped kitchen, very comfy bed and a lovely rear garden with bbq….perfect!

Amazing! Martin was very friendly and sent helpful instructions about how to find the location. The property was extremely clean and I felt at home immediately. The surrounding area is stunning too. Thank you for being wonderful hosts!
