Pet-friendly vacation rentals in North Shore

My son was graduating from Landmark High School. He is a boarding student so we needed a place close by. There was room for his extended family. The kids loved the games and activities.

My husband and I were blown away McKenna’s place — every detail was thought of, it was clean, comfortable and cozy, as well as super convenient to the places we wanted to go in Rockport. McKenna reached out ahead of time and was easy to contact. There is not one thing we’d change. Amazing stay! I know without a doubt we will book 6 Tuna Wharf again in the future.

Mike and Anna were wonderful hosts. Very responsive when we working to secure the home for our visit, and communicative throughout our entire stay. Worked towards solutions, showed flexibility with reasonable requests, and their willingness to ensure our stay was a positive experience was appreciated. It became "our home away from home". We loved our time in Brookline- quaint town, walkability to places -even Fenway Park- for our visit came with ease, as well as coffee, ice cream and good eats all close by! Public transportation easy to navigate (our NY kids did help :-) ). As for the trains and their natural noise...never a problem, just part of this Brookline home in Boston and its surrounding charm!

I don't know who needs to hear this but....I don't even really want to say all this, I want to gate keep it sooo bad...but for the sake of a 5-star review on Airbnb, I'll do it. Scituate is probably the best kept secret I've ever stumbled on. Then there's this gorgeous beach cottage, (also found by shear luck I guess). I'm a sucker for a well designed home as it is, but this one. Oh, is it cute. Super Cozy in all the best ways, decor is to die for, absolutely every little thing you need already waiting for you. Super comfy beds!! Sleeping arrangements are well done and everyone has plenty of space to spread out. The living area is just on the other side of the den, so it's GREAT to split the kids off to their own space. Neighbors are fun and so kind! Walk to the beach!!!! Literally, you can see it from the driveway. Heather, your host, pretty much the best you can get. All her recommendations were legit!! Ok enough, shhhh, don't tell anyone else about this Scituate Gem!

What a wonderful house for our vacation. Very clean, kitchen well stocked, comfortable living room and bedrooms. Everything we could have asked for and more.

Eric's house is huge and beautiful and very comfortable. A perfect place to hang out with our loved ones. And the location is fantastic too. Would definitely stay here again!

I very much enjoyed an extended stay at Randy’s place. A charming little house in a very convenient location. Just a few minutes walk to just about everything. Nice and quiet and comfortable. Lots of windows and very sunny throughout the day. Felt very much like a home. Randy was very responsive and communicative throughout my stay. It was a pleasure meeting him while he tended the flowers and plants around the house.

What can I say? They’ve thought of everything to make you feel welcome and right at home! Special snacks awaiting the kids with breakfast items already thought of! The indoor pool and hot tub were perfect for every day of our stay! The rooms were comfortable and felt right at home! Thank you for a perfect and memorable stay!

This was our second time staying at Ned‘s place. Just as Beautiful as it was several years ago. He keeps the property very well maintained and takes pride in making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need for a pleasant stay. Felt right at home!!

Had a great time in Rockport! Walkable down to Bearskin neck and the pool was great!

I loved everything Maxine said and how she helped navigate around every even in the house, everything was so clean, very quite place good for professional working, everything was just beyond, amazing & lovely place you feel right at home with so much space to move around the house. Alex was a great host, just a couple of hiccups in the beginning it was a great space for us. The campground was peaceful and close to my sister's house. There was plenty of restaurants close by for meals. There were puzzles and games to play in the evening, It would have been nice to have a spot for a fire outside. Directions were easy to follow for getting to the campground and for getting into the cabin. If we would need a place to stay again I would consider using it again.

We were lucky enough to have a very extended stay at this lovely little bungalow! The house is so sweet! The layout is easy, the rooms are comfortably furnished, and the floors are beautiful, and there is an incredible library of books. The house is full of natural light, and nestled in a little private spot. There is lovely landscaping in the front yard, and the back yard is magical. The pool is amazing, and you feel like you are in your own little peaceful world here. The house is an easy walk to all of the things that make Rockport such a cool town. And, you can hear the ocean at night from the yard! Trent and Cassie are the best hosts! Kind, responsive, and mellow. We loved everything about our stay! We will be back. ( :

We felt so comfortable and right at home. The extra touches that were left for use such as cooking tools, spices, and stage containers and bags were nice. The rest of makeup wipes, batteries, flashlight (just in case items) were not needed but definitely appreciated. The home was spotless and felt as clean as it looked.

I had a great experience with our stay. It was spacious and a perfect getaway. Would definitely stay again or recommend to anyone I know.

Susan was a great host and did a wonderful job providing a warm and welcoming space. We loved all the details of the historic home and the location was great. Just a minute walk from the downtown and an ocean view park.

This is our second year staying at Martin and Ellen’s home. You can’t beat the location and the home is large enough for 2 or more families to be comfortable.

From start to finish, Sheila and her place were great. Sheila was a fantastic host, reaching out in advance to make sure we were all set for check in. We encountered some unexpected weather during our trip and Sheila made sure we had what we needed in case the storm got worse. The home itself was clean and comfortable and exactly as described. Being able to sit inside the front room surrounded by windows or on the large deck outside both overlooking the water was a fantastic way to start each morning. The nearby beach, Pavilion Beach, was only a quick, easy walk from the house and was both quiet and beautiful. Sheila provided a list of local restaurants and other places to check out, which was very helpful. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay.

The location is perfect. The place is super nice and comfortable. Jody checks in to see if we need anything. We will definitely stay at this home again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Surf Bungalow. The house was exactly as pictured and very clean. The views of the marsh and ocean beyond are terrific. The location is great, so close to everything. Shaws market is just around the corner. For a great pizza or sub be sure to visit Surfside subs which is about 3 minutes up the road. We also like Midori Chinese/Japanese restaurant ( thanks to the owner for the recommendation) We had a delicious lunch with the best fried whole clams at the Lobster of Gloucester, a restaurant that should not be missed if your staying in Gloucester. Both restaurants are just 5 or 10 minutes from the house. Another fun trip is the road out the Eastern Point Lighthouse and a walk on the jetty. Just ignore the private road signs that try to scare you off, the road is public and open to everyone all the way to the lighthouse.

Just got home from a week in the Sandcastle. It is even better in person. It sits on the rope walk, along the bay. It was fun to walk the dogs, and people watch. The beach is just steps away, and it was fun to pick up shells. Fun for the entire family.
