Quiet, semi-rural property less than 20mins from all Townsville has to offer. A Tiny Expandable home, this accommodation is compact yet well equipped. With a double bed in the main bedroom, bunk beds in the second room and a pull out sofa bed it is ideally suited to four guests but can sleep 6. Close to the beautiful Bushland beach whilst also less than 20mins to James Cook University, Hospital, Airport and the Strand. You have exclusive use of the unit that sits to the rear or of our property.

Birdwing Hut in the Rainforest

This simple hut nestled into the rainforest is a birdwatcher's paradise! The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Set on 40 Private acres, "The Birdsnest" is our modern air-cond smaller cabin. It is open plan living/bedroom with q/size bed and sofa that converts to double bed for extra guests. Seperate bathroom and undercover large deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, flat screen TV. We do have 2 other cabins on the property to accommodate larger families or groups. 7mins from Paronella Park. Due to Covid 19 we are no longer providing breakfast.

Lay back and relax in this uniquely designed studio nestled in a lush tropical garden. Enjoy local wildlife, pristine beaches and waterfalls (wet season), while exploring stunning Magnetic Island. A 15-minute min stroll will take you over the dunes to the secluded end of Horseshoe Bay for a swim or to watch the sunset. Shops and restaurants are just 3 minute drive away. The nearest bus stop is a 15 minute walk from the property. The bus takes you all over the island bays.

Join Jess for Friday and Saturday morning yoga and coffee if you wish on the other side of the rainforest garden.
