We were looking for a quintessential Kiwi camping experience to share with 3 young boys and found exactly what we were looking for right here at Justin & Ngawai’s Caravan at the beach. Exactly as described, this is not 5 star modern accomodation, this takes you back in time…we all loved it… Justin & Ngawai are awesome hosts, sharing their little piece of paradise is a privilege to have experienced… we are all grateful for the great memories

We stayed for three nights whilst attending the music festival a few minutes down the road. The van provided everything we needed including the most comfortable bed imaginable. Alex and Jo were very kind and helpful. A lovely stay. Thank you.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Elsie! So calm and peaceful, truly the most relaxed I’ve felt in a long time. Such a cute set-up with more than everything you need in Felicia’s beautiful garden. Can’t thank Felicia enough for her hospitality. One of the kindest and most helpful people I have ever met. From bringing me breakfast for my first morning to bringing me fresh fruit, recommending walks and places to visit to responding to my every need within minutes. Can proudly say I left Elsie with a new friend.

Maybe the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at! The place is UNREAL. It was everything we hoped it would be from the pictures, and then more. Lucia was a super host, providing detailed instructions and great comms, and even made us homemade treats upon our arrival. It’s super private and well looked after, and has everything you need and top quality. We didn’t want to leave! Was the perfect spot for us to have a quiet, peaceful getaway after our wedding. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful weekend away at Nikki’s classic kiwi bach! The location is so beautiful, and it was great to be right on the waterfront. The Bach is lovely and had everything we needed for a great stay. I only wish that we could have stayed longer! Nikki is a friendly, helpful and responsive host. Hopefully we will get to come back again one day!

Had a great and relaxing afternoon and night after we did the Tongariro hike. Beautiful surrounding and view, saw horses and goats on the premise. The campervan was nice for sleep and the outdoor bathtub with the view into the hills was a special experience. Thank you

Fantastic spot to stay near Takaka - the caravan is beautiful and comfortable! Robynne and her husband are lovely hosts and we very much enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely be looking to book here again next time we visit Golden Bay!

Absolutely loved our stay. Although we only stayed 1 night we wished we could've stayed more to appreciate it's true beauty. Nice and basic/easy set up, plenty of utensils etc and a shower with beautiful water pressure. Will definitely book again for a longer stay.

Kate was great to deal with and really helpful. The location was in a beautiful setting, the space in the caravan more than adequate and the set up very comfortable. Everything worked well in the caravan and the host's explanations were most helpful. This is one of those special locations where you can truly relax, sit around a fire, eat outdoors should you wish and have beautiful short walks along the river. Highly recommended.

Me and my two kids had a great stay. They had a real buzz staying in a caravan. Donna is an excellent host, made us feel very welcome. The location is awesome feels like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of Auckland yet you are so close everything. It is an ideal weekend getaway, close to the local beaches and cafes. We will love to come back again.

This tiny home was such a treat to stay at. It felt so peaceful and private. The pets that roam around are all very cute and sweet. It really is like another little world and the surroundings of the property are gorgeous. Having the beautiful springs just down the road was awesome as well we’re able to see them easily on our way back to Nelson. Lolly and Simon have really made this place so cozy and I’m so happy that we found this little gem.

Thank you Elizabeth for letting us stay in your piece of paradise, what you have set up is just beautiful, you have thought of everything! I highly recommend for people to come and enjoy your special place, it was so peaceful, we loved everything, the bath, the fire pit , the amazing stars and such a comfy cozy bed, and the whole place is styled perfectly. My stay in Evi the bus has been nothing other than extremely pleasant. Andrea and her husband John are very kind, welcoming people and their dog Bruno is a real sweetheart. The bus itself is very comfortable and precisely like the pictures represent. The location is perfect for exploring the area (Waitangi, Russell, Paihia) and even for making a trip towards Cape Reinga. The hospitality has been heartwarming and even late at night when I was in need of some help, Andrea came over to assist me. Plus, she even gave me a nature lesson with some very interesting facts about the nightlife and the sounds we could hear outside. Hearing a Kiwi-sound, a Morepork owl and seeing the galaxy extremely clearly from right outside the bus has been an amazing extra. Thanks again for the wonderful few days!

Really nice spot! Beautiful river location, early June so we spend most of the evening next to the awesome fire and cooked our dinner on there too. So cosy, loads on blankets shower was really cool. River was beautiful and bed was very comfy. Treasure hunt was an unexpected gem! And soo good to have a simple but perfect breakfast
