Boat vacation rentals in North America

We had a great stay at the Chalet. Reading the reviews was very helpful, specifically: 1. The 5-minute uphill hike to the chalet. 2. No flushing toilet paper down the toilet; we had 2 bags in each bathroom – a "stinky" bag that we kept closed and the trash bag for regular business. 3. We brought extra garbage bags to pack out the trash and linens. 4. Bring water. There was a 5-gallon jug full of water there and we brought a 2.5 gallon jug. My family of 5 finished 7.5 gallons of water the morning we left. 5. The property is luxury for a remote island, but it certainly needs some repairs in certain areas. 6. The ATV + trailer to haul our stuff up and down was a life saver. Notes: the queen bed is pretty firm, the king bed is softer. There are sleeping masks there. Bring a washcloth if you want one. Rent kayaks for a day and paddle around the area – so beautiful! Tide pooling was amazing. Buy the Beach Combers Guide at the Homer Bookstore if you have never been before.

We greatly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Jenny's AMI property. The 2 bedrooms were perfect for my wife and I + our 2 teenage daughters. Jenny was a perfect host -- from start to finish she was always very communicative. The instructions were very easy to follow -- and she proactively reached out to make sure everything was going OK. The scenery from the living room window was beautiful -- we saw many dolphins just fro the couch. The location on the eastern side of the island was new for us. We had previously always stayed on the western side by the gulf beach -- but found this location charming -- and at the end of the day, very easy to access the beach. The best on the east side, while not as famous as the Gulf -- but pretty to sit on in its own right. I would highly recommend this property for the value and quality of the host. We have tried larger, more expensive places with pools, hot tubs, etc. -- but the value on this rental was great.

We loved staying on Destiny. We had never experienced living on a boat and wanted to try it out. It is extremely well equipped & clean. The location of the marina is close to restaurants, shopping and excursions. Being on the water was calming, peaceful and made for a great night's sleep(the beds are amazing). Michael was a responsive and friendly host. We would love to come back.

This is the perfect escape to enjoy with friends when in Cancun. Bethany was incredibly helpful with all of our needs. Captain Eric and first mate Alexis were outstanding with the boat and taking care of all of us with our personal belongings, food, and drink. Incredible experience on the boat ride from the Lagoon to Isla de Mujeres. Everyone in my groups was extremely impressed and are ready to come back to ride the "Destiny" again.

Beautiful home with ample amenities. The resort had many activities and the host provided beach necessities we couldn’t have brought from home. Cooking and laundry services were great, welcome book and area suggestions were very helpful. A great home base for our busy week all over the island.

Steve is such a nice guy! He is quick to respond if you have questions, and we had some good conversations about the local area. The boat is gorgeous! This is such a unique place to stay. We enjoyed dolphin watching with our morning coffee and exploring the different parts of the boat. We usually struggle to find accommodations for our family of 5, but this was perfect; we could have even brought a friend and still felt comfortable. There are multiple bathrooms and a great kitchen area.

We had a great stay aboard Bob’s Yer Uncle! Very well organized and well stocked with all the necessities, and super clear instructions on getting into the marina and marina washrooms/showers - which we used instead of the boat shower. Would recommend visitors bring their own water for drinking. We’re hoping to book again the next time we’re in St. Catharines!

One of the best solo adventures I’ve ever had! The sailboat was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and super cozy! Chris welcomed me so warmly and made everything super easy, showing me how to use the dinghy (which was fun and simple) and giving clear instructions for the boat. I spent an amazing evening reading my book with a cup of tea while watching the sunset, pure peacefulness. The kitchen is easy to use, but be sure to ask about the gas setup just in case. Chris was always available and incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. I loved using the paddle board! The weather was perfect, and the people around were lovely. There’s even a grill you can use anytime. Check-out was just as smooth as check-in. Chris and Susan truly love what they do, and it shows in every detail. I had a brief but very enjoyable stay here. It's an excellent change of scenery without going far away. Ronald was a thoughtful host and good to chat with. He gave me the tour and suggestions about nearby spots to check out. This is definitely not a "quick in, quick out, instant book" kind of place, but chances are if you're looking at boat rentals that's not what you're after anyway, and I will say if you're looking for a peaceful, laid-back setting, it's here. Notes for others who might be considering this spot: 1. Nothing is exactly close by, which is kind of the point. Expect most destinations (grocery, bar, etc) to be 20+ minutes away. 2. If you're tall, watch your head! But you get used to it quickly. All in all, if you're looking for a boat experience, I recommend this one.

Dennis was more than hospitable. Periodic showers come through in Florida regularly and he was always attentive if we needed extra towels to dry the boat. He even brought out fishing rags for my husband to use. This was a trial to see if we would like to houseboat part-time in retirement. The verdict was a definitive YES!

The cabin is adorable. Situated very close to Baddeck on a quiet piece of land. The power went out while we were out and about one day and they quickly let us know what was happening. The owner checked on us by text a few times during our stay to see if we needed anything. Of course we didn’t as the cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My stay in Isla Mujeres was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, thanks to BoatsChoice!! It was my first time in Isla as well as my first time staying on a personal boat.... I have already booked again for next year!!

We had a peaceful and exotic stay on the pretty boat named KYMA. Well equipped, and located in a very quiet cove, where the beach is crystal clear and turquoise; we particularly enjoyed breakfasts with a little morning swim and early evenings, when the light of the sunset shines on the Diamant, it's splendid! It is not uncommon to see turtles in the Anse at the end of the day as well. Luc is a passionate host about his boat, the sea and he was very responsive to our requests or questions.

What a wonderful place to stay for the Boston marathon! Close to everything including restaurants and an easy walk around and water taxis close too! The boat was super clean with a few hang out areas. Sherrie met us and explained it all! Clear communication and so easy! Hope to be able to come again!

Ron was a great host— communication was easy, he was super responsive and had good local recommendations. The catamaran was spotless and well outfitted. It was clear Ron cared about the boat and took pride in it. Our stay was comfortable and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Captain Danny’s boat was such a great adventure. The sunset cruise was amazing! The next day we were out all day exploring the sea. We caught so many fish. Wendy made us delicious lunch with fish we caught and then we went in later for dinner and a local restaurant cooked up the rest of the fish we caught. One tip, make sure you have enough food and beverages, once you’re on the boat it’s not accessible to get to a store. My kids enjoyed this trip. Captain Danny & Wendy are amazing hosts! We would definitely do this again!

Had a great first time sleeping on one of the awesome antique boats!! We could fish off the back of the boat with a fishing license, could enjoy the beauty of the antique boat, and have a short drive to casinos, state parks, great places go eat, and the Ohio river!! Tracy, the host, offered us a ride on the Ohio river but we had things to get back to and had to decline, until next time:) Thank you for hosting us :)

We had a wonderful time on the boat! Having coffee with the spectacular view was awesome. It was an easy check in and Melissa was very responsive-we highly recommend if you want this incredible experience in Boston! 5 stars all around!

Jonathan’s Place was a wonderful vacation home! We felt relaxed and had a great time spending the weekend with our family and friends. There was plenty of space for everyone to gather, cook meals, and get ready for our outdoor adventures. Being right on the water was a fantastic bonus. Jonathan was a gracious host and kindly offered to rent his pontoon boat—although we ended up not needing it since we took day trips, we really appreciated the gesture. We did enjoy using the paddle board and the foosball table, which added to the fun. The kitchen was stocked well enough for preparing basic meals, and it was easy to find nearby shops. We also ordered takeout one night, which worked out perfectly. Overall, it was a great stay—we’d definitely recommend it!

A wonderful experience! We enjoyed our week on the Yacht, "Comfortably Numb". The Host was exceptional. Keliy, was very clear and attentive. She recommended bike rentals, local attractions, beach location, and views from the deck. The place smelled fresh and clean. The indoor temperature was cool. The humidity was controlled. We loved the bean bag seats to watch the sunrise and sunsets from the deck. The indoor accommodations was very large, roomy, and comfortable. We plan to reserve this place again in the future. We learned alot since we are are planning to purchase a yacht for full time living and charter boat fishing. We had the most peaceful, beautiful stay!! Way off the beaten path. Kevin and his wife Karen were amazing. Extremely helpful … the wildlife was beautiful. We think we saw an otter. Definitely saw a meteor over the water about 11 o’clock at night. Can’t wait to come back and visit again thank you so much Kevin for sharing your beautiful place w/us. 😀😀😀
