A private rental accommodation by the sea, limited to one group at a time. This fully renovated traditional house is located in Minamiozen, Kagoshima Prefecture, the southernmost town on the mainland. When you enter the room, you will see the view of the Kinkouwan Bay spreading out across the window and Mt. Satsuma, also known as Kaihodo, on the opposite shore, and you will exclaim, "Wow!" and you'll be captivated by the blue sea. The view can be seen not only from the living room, but also from the open bathroom. You can move directly from the room to the spacious wooden deck with a BBQ stove and sink, via the deck terrace that extends from the living room. You can enjoy a relaxing private time while listening to the sound of the waves without worrying about people watching. Nearby, you can drive to Ohama Gold Beach, Sata Cape and Yukawa Falls, and Nishiharadai Panorama Park. The abundant nature along the way is also comforting. In the evening, the sunset from the living room, bathroom, and wooden deck is truly spectacular. And the starry sky after the sun sets is breathtaking. The room also has free WiFi and a projector that displays on the white wall. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and seasonings, so you can bring your own ingredients and cook. Entire cottage, Onuma Snapper Lock, private forest, glamping

Snapper Lock is a private cottage at the foot of Mt. Mocchomu in Onana, southern Yakushima. The nearest bus stop is a 6-minute walk. It is a quiet place surrounded by nature. The large living room of about 32 ㎡ can accommodate up to 5 people. (One is a sofa bed) The deck has an outdoor table and hammock, and a completely private forest spreads out. You can relax while taking a forest bath. Parking is also available for 2-3 vehicles. There is also a fire pit on the premises. The building was self-built by the owner. The building materials used are Japanese cedar and local cedar. The walls are plastered with lacquer, and the kitchen is made from recycled waste materials. We aim to be an inn that is friendly to both people and the environment, by not providing disposable amenities and keeping equipment to a minimum. There are insects and wild animals on Yakushima, so be careful to keep them out by closing the screens when you open the windows. Note: Several times a year, from 8 am to 9 am during the rainy season, large numbers of "feather ants" will appear on the island. They are attracted to lights, so we ask that you close the windows and turn off the lights in the room. Thank you for your understanding.

It is right next to the river, so you can swim or go to the river from the open-air bath. There is also a deck, so please use it for breakfast or coffee time. There is a neighbor's garden diagonally across the river, so it is not a completely private space. We recommend bringing a swimsuit. The sauna stove is a Japanese-made bros sauna. You can enjoy a high-temperature sauna. Holiday House Nagata is located in the western part of Yakushima Island, close to Inaka beach, the best sea turtle spawning beach in Japan, and you can walk to Maehama beach from home.The sunset view from the beach is beautiful, and there are Yokogawa Gorge, Yakushima Lighthouse, and Seibu Forest Road nearby.Since it is far from the trailhead, it is highly recommended to rent a car.If you only come to Jomon Cedar climbing, Nagata is far away, so please look at the map to consider it.The May-July 2021 Sea Turtle Watch was canceled due to COVID-19.Please note that you will not be able to get off the beach after 8pm.If you go to the beach at 5:00 in the morning, it is recommended because it is possible to meet sea turtles.

Following his will to avoid creating an environment where people gathering at the house would cause the fish to flee, we use environmentally friendly detergents as much as possible. What you can enjoy during your stay at this house is the quietness. 360 degrees, the green jumps into your eyes. Come and be healed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, surrounded by nature. The starry sky at night is also a must-see. It is our wish that you will be embraced by the stars and remember the original landscape. Hachimanju Tea Garden and Jomon Farm are within walking distance. Relatively close to Miyanoura, Awa, and the airport, the location is excellent for sightseeing, shopping, and bus travel.

We chose our accommodation's location carefully to make it as convenient as possible. Yakushima is quite remote and doesn't have many transportation options. Yakushima is relatively large, covering about 100 kilometers. There are restaurants and supermarkets scattered around, but it can be challenging to find rental cars or taxis. →You can walk to popular restaurants in just 3 minutes, so you can have a great meal and easily return. Additionally, a supermarket is only a 7-minute walk away.
