Our house is located in a village deep in central France. It is furnished with an authentic décor. The area is peaceful with undulating hills onto the vineyards of Sancerre. The Loire offers canoeing and cycling. The city of Bourges and its stunning Gothic cathedral is only 40 kms away. You can visit various chateaux close by and enjoy the light show at St Fargeau. A 2-hour train ride goes into Paris. Our central location makes it an ideal stopover for travellers. The owner is close to assist.

The old village school

The old school/schoolmaster's house is on the edge of a tiny village where there's no shop, no café, so you’ll need a car. It's very rural here, with views across the gently undulating countryside from the school. Two small towns with supermarkets - La Machine and Cercy-la-Tour, are both about 11 kilometres away. Decize, a much larger town on the Loire, is about 18 km away. There are two double bedrooms, and another small one with a triple-layer bunk bed suitable for children.

Comfortable cottage 2 hours from Paris, south of Puisaye and 20 minutes from the medieval site of Guédelon, the castle of St Fargeau and its historical shows, the Colette museum in St-Sauveur as well as the vineyards of Pouilly, Sancerre, Ménetou-salon, It is in a hamlet near the village of Perroy, 5 km from Donzy and its shops and 20 km from Cosne-sur-Loire that we have set up this independent cottage, with its private garden in an old farmhouse of the 18th and 19th centuries.

From this centrally located accommodation, you can be in the historic city of Autun or in the beautiful nature of the Morvan. This old rectory has everything you need for a nice holiday with your friends or family. A total of 9 adults can sleep, possibly to be expanded with camping beds for the little ones. There is a large garden with swimming pool with many play opportunities for children. The garden also serves as a mini campsite.

When you rent from us you will be the only ones to be there. The only people likely to be there are the caretaker and his wife, who are there to take care of the animals and the places. Neither your presence nor theirs will be inconvenient.
