Family-friendly vacation rentals in Newtown

We stayed at this lovely cottage for 3 nights and it was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. We explored the area and did most of the local attractions and after a long day we could come back and go in the hot tub to relax. It was exactly what we needed and couldn't want for any more!

We found the Lodge cottage to be ideal for our holiday. It was a peaceful location with great views from upstairs windows. the cottage was spotless when we arrived and very well equipped. it was nice to find tea and coffee and ample towels supplied. the hot tub was a treat a couple of times during our stay. Other nice touches were the books and games, and the basket of leaflets to suggest places to visit. We would highly recommend this for any family to stay in.

We loved our stay with Nick and Charlotte. They were very helpful and made us feel very at home in beautiful surroundings. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub after a long walk in the mountains!

Great place to stay, as gave us the option to visit lot of other places easily . It was very quiet and relatively close to a lot of sight seeing destinations

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Luxury Tree House. The property is even more beautiful than the pictures — spacious, cozy, and immaculately clean. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a definite highlight, especially in the evenings. Pam was a fantastic host — very responsive, helpful, and accommodating. Check-in was seamless, and everything we needed was provided. We would highly recommend this unique property and hope to return again!

The accommodation was in a great location with great views and so peaceful even though it was so close to the town. The hot tub was great and we weren’t overlooked by anyone.

The Snowdonia Hideaway is worth every penny and more. The location is stunning- set up in the hills, it’s extremely peaceful, and private, yet Katy was always on hand and very helpful for anything we might’ve needed. The house was absolutely spotless and beautiful inside, and the photos really do not do it justice. The house was very homely and had everything to make us very comfortable, we spent evenings having barbecues, stargazing, or enjoying the hot tub, and spent the days exploring the local area- beaches, pubs, markets, hikes, historic sites, lakes, and wild swimming. The house was perfect and there’s so much to do in the area we only wish we had stayed longer- thank you for such a memorable weekend Katy!

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. Tucked behind secure gates, the property felt private and peaceful, yet it was only a short walk into town and to the beach—which made everything super convenient. The place itself is bright, beautifully kept, immaculately clean and smelt lovely. Great open-plan living space; it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, from a fully stocked kitchen(nearby coop was wonderful) to comfy furnishings and fast Wi-Fi plus sky. Lovely we could bring our dog, and she able to be free. We loved the exceptionally close attention to detail, like fluffy towels, luxury bedding, and the optional hot tub/sauna which made our evenings feel like a spa retreat.The location was a real highlight. It made day trips to Yr Wyddfa, Harlech, and Beddgelert incredibly easy. We even managed to explore the lovely Precipice Walk in Dolgellau, which was absolutely breathtaking. An exceptional stay.

a great place for a family get together. spacious and homely, lots of interesting art work and granddaughter loved the rocking horse. The location is great, right in the centre of Welshpool but you feel as though you are in rural setting, only sounds were the birds singing. The living room is huge with three massive sofas. Will stay here again.

We had a fantastic week at Aberdar. The weather was amazing all week, so we spent our time outside enjoying the garden, orchard and stream, and sitting at the various seating areas to avoid the wind if it got too strong. We only made 3 trips away from Aberdar.. a stunning part of Wales and it was hard to put the camera down. A pleasure to drive on the pothole free roads and we hardly saw anyone apart from friendly farmers. Our anxious rescue dog was very happy enjoying the space and he was relaxed all week, as were we. Aberdar has it all.. very clean and homely, very well equipped with everything we needed, useful information file provided for guests, beautiful views and loved hearing the sheep, cows and stream. If you are tall, remember to duck when going through the doorways.. we kept forgetting! This was a very special trip for us and we will be returning!

Jo place was really nice, the area was fantastic,the cottage had everything we needed . Jo greeted us on arrival which was nice and the cottage was nice and quiet which I loved,would definitely recommend staying here

Judith was great, as I had not read that the oven was a small box type. I brought a massive lasagne and I think it was slightly beyond the oven’s capability. After 40 mins when it was still not cooked through, I messaged Judith and she put it in her oven. She knocked later with my steaming hot perfectly cooked lasagne and a smile on her face. She was very helpful.

Wanted a relaxing weekend as a couple after a hectic few weeks at home.Thats exactly what we had ....pretty little cottage in a lovely peaceful location with stunning views.Cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed.Ruth was very welcoming and helpful .Would love to visit again sometime

Initially intrigued by the photo of the exterior, totally fascinated on arrival, amazed once inside. As barn conversions go, this was top of the range, from design to finish. The interior was way beyond expectation, downstairs , a dining area leading to a spacious, well lit & comfortable lounge/tv area with double glazed doors opening onto a small lawn. A good sized, fully equipped kitchen made light of our catering needs. Upstairs was incredible, and needs to be seen to be believed. We loved it ! For us it was a huge area divided in three open plan areas , 2 bedrooms, and a reading & dressing area. For others it occasionally converts to something very special, but that's not for me to explain. Our lttle dog loved the large, private & secure lawned garden area at the rear, plenty of seating for relaxation. AS YOU MAY GATHER WE LOVED IT !! Thank you Elaine.

Just one point , we are quite elderly and the furniture in the lounge is very low and we struggled to get up off it, we got round that by putting all the pillows off the beds to higher it , also the path down to the cottage from the parking space is quite uneven , we are 80 and 75 but it wouldn’t be a problem for anyone surefooted . The balcony is just FANTASTIC

The accommodation had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and it was a great base for exploring local areas. Host was attentive and friendly:)

We had such a lovely stay last weekend. It was in the most beautiful location with a fantastic view. Would definitely stay again.

The farm was amazing and safe, the children loved feeding the animals in the morning, the swimming pool was great for a rain afternoon and the games room was so fun. The BBQ Sharon and her husband put on for the guest was a fabulous bonus, so generous and delicious. We will be coming back!!!

Host was SO helpful & responded very fast. Place is very lovely, peaceful and lovely views from the decking & the main bedroom. Close to Snowdon too, thank you 🤍

Lovely caravan, very clean and tidy with everything you could need including the on-site clubhouse with bar restaurant pool and gym. Walkable to town or very short drive in car. Lovely peaceful stay. Thank you

Amazing value for money. We stayed in Oak cottage and it was very spacious and had the most beautiful views! The pool and hot tub were such a brilliant addition. Danielle was a brilliant host and very responsive. We will definitely be back again, thank you so much!

The retreat is in a beautiful location , surrounded by hills, countryside and lovely walks. The property was beautifully clean and welcoming and the swimming pool is an amazing facility. Everything was perfect , and we will definitely be back.
