Vacation rentals with a patio in Newport

Jolanta and I only had contact through the news. She is a likeable landlady and available at any time. Access to the apartment is via a key box - very easy to set 4 digits with number wheels. The apartment is very bright and friendly. It is very quiet at night (residential area). If you like to sleep in the dark, you have to take a sleeping mask or something similar for one of the bedrooms, as the street lamp is very bright. It didn't bother me. The other bedroom is inside. If you are a good walker, you can reach the city in 20 minutes and the Penarth Pier in a good 30 minutes. Penarth Pier is beautifully located on the Bristol Canal. You can also eat well there. Cardiff can also be reached by car in a quarter of an hour. Cardiff Bay (harbor) offers many pubs and restaurants. You can also go for a walk there. If I ever go back to the area, I will definitely stay in Jolanta's apartment again.

Great place to stay for a weekend away in Cardiff. Short walk to Mermaid Quay. Really peaceful location. Spacious and very clean, comfy beds. Bonus of a secure parking space. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alison's - thank you for having us! The spacious apartment has obviously been recently furnished, and it was extremely clean. There was everything we needed, with a very comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. Thank you for the generous welcome basket, which was ideal for our breakfasts, and we enjoyed the biscuits too! All in all we thought it was excellent, and a great location for visiting St Fagans and our Cardiff cousins. Thank you very much to Alison and Luigi, and we hope to stay with you again.

What an incredible stay! This apartment on the harbour in Bristol was everything I hoped for and more. Perfectly located on Gasworks Lane, it offers a rare combination of tranquility by the water and the vibrant pulse of the city just steps away. Waking up to views of the harbour and the sound of boats gently moving outside felt like a peaceful escape right in the middle of urban life. The flat itself is modern, spotless, and beautifully styled – clearly designed with both comfort and aesthetics in mind. From the plush bed to the fully equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches throughout, it had everything I needed to feel right at home. I especially loved enjoying a glass of wine by the large windows overlooking the water after a day exploring the city. The location is unbeatable – close to bars, restaurants, cafes, and all the energy of central Bristol, yet still peaceful and safe. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this spot makes the perfect base.

Byron and Kate’s place was amazing, such a beautiful space in a great location and so quiet and peaceful. On top of that Byron and Kate may well be the best hosts we’ve ever met. Couldn’t do enough for us, super helpful and had thought of absolutely everything. Couldn’t fault a thing about the property, these experiences are why we use Airbnb instead of hotels. Will definitely be trying to book here again if we are back in Cardiff. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks so much

Very comfortable flat in a great location - within walking distance of Whiteladies Road with lots of cafes and restaurants and frequent buses to other parts of the city.

Perfect location for those exploring Barry Island. Host were friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Communication was fantastic. Room was exactly what we needed. Clean and tidy. Bed and bedding was comfortable. Garden was lovely for a coffee if a morning. We especially liked the free and included doggy cuddles. ❤️ The only downside was having to leave. Sian's is a beautiful house. Both her and her long term lodger are very friendly and intelligent people. The house is rather large and tastefully decorated and well equipped. Sian really makes one feel at home.

Great accommodation, very spacious with a lovely garden to sit in the sunshine. It was within walking distance to the ICC which is where we went on the evening. Elliott gave us great instructions on how to get to the accommodation, how to get in, where to put rubbish and recyclables, local restaurants, cafe's etc. Beds were very comforatble and we had a great stay, would definately book this accommodation again :).

What a find! Wonderful house with everything we needed plus a beautiful garden full of spring flowers and a great recommendation of a lovely forest walk just down the road. We can’t wait to return

A great place to stay. A well-appointed house with everything you need. The house is modern, and warm and cosy, with great views of Twmbarlwm. Lovely country lane walks nearby.

We have just returned from a stay here whilst we visited our son at Cardiff Uni and family in Gloucestershire. The house is well located for proximity to the M4 Newport and Cardiff particularly . It was dog friendly . There is a fenced area at the bottom of the garden and a park nearby for walks . Parking is on a side street . We had no problem finding a park on it and we were back and forth frequently . The house is next to a very busy A road and the front bedroom is noisy as a result but coming from London that didn’t bother us particularly . The proximity to a fish and chip shop, Greggs, Tesco extra and sub zero ice cream parlour was most welcome ! The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with when we needed help with a couple of small issues .

The communication from booking to leaving was fantastic. The flat is spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has been put into it too make guest extremely comfortable. It was great sitting on the large veranda area in the evening as the sun went down. By far this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in. We will be booking again and again. What a wonderful stay! The Studio was such a peaceful and cosy retreat. The instructions were very clear and check in was really easy. The Studio included all the necessary amenities we needed and to such a high standard. Everything was clean, private and welcoming. The location was perfect, surrounded by the countryside but also very quick to get to Bristol City Centre. We definitely recommend this place to stay - we will 100% come stay again. Thank you

This place was wonderful to stay for the few days we had visiting Bristol. The location is fantastic, very walkable to the main part of town (although you have to walk back up hill to get back home, the hill isn’t too steep or far, and if you’re really stuck you can easily get an uber or taxi). The house was very peaceful and quiet. The back garden was lovely to sit in. The bathroom is large and spacious, the rainfall shower was luxurious! Overall a great stay.

We stayed at Norman's for two months while we renovated a house. Perfect location close to the city - Gloucester Rd, Whiteladies, city centre etc. Really lovely flat with private walled garden covered in rambling roses in beautiful Georgian Kingsdown. Flat very clean and comfortable and well equipped kitchen. Norman super helpful and friendly. We loved our stay here.

Great place to stay for 1 or 2 nights. Didn't appear to be much to do in the immediate area but it's a short walk to a bus stop with frequent buses into the city centre. Easy to check in and out.

We had the most wonderful stay with Mags. The house is stunning, surrounded by the most beautiful landscaped gardens. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong in the morning. The property itself is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We slept great and the shower is excellent! Lastly, Mags was the cherry on top. She was kind, attentive and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, albeit we only stayed for one night. One of the best Air BnBs we’ve stayed in - we hope we can find an excuse to come back again. Brava!

We enjoyed our two nights relaxing on the roomy, comfortable living room furniture. It was very quiet even though it is located right downtown, close to everything.
