Family-friendly vacation rentals in Newport

Greatest host and house I could have hoped for, especially considering how last minute it was. They went above and beyond to make the stay as wonderful as possible, and easy for all of us. Extremely polite, and proactive. This place feels more like a home than a rental, and it’s easy to feel like you’re staying with family (that you like)! It’s beautiful inside and out. So much to do in the house, you might not actually leave, and they have everything you need and more available. Easily my first choice next time I’m looking to go back. 100/10 stars. Do yourself the favor of staying here.

Great location in the Nye Beach Neighborhood. Plenty of nice restaurants and coffee shops to walk to. This is our second time staying here and enjoy the location. The spacious kitchen also allows for family dinners and we like to take advantage of the outside grill.

Absolutely love this place! Depot Bay, Lincoln City close by. it was a quiet neighborhood and very relaxing! Jim and Rachel responded quickly to any questions I had. Can't recommend it enough! Would definately book again!

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to Newport, check this place out! We were in town from Bend while working on a remodel of a local restaurant, and this place had everything we needed during our stay. The view of Yaquina Bay from the condo is awesome, and the guys even had a hot tub to relax in after work!! All-in-all, I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Lauri and Daniel.

Since my wife passed in 2023 from Cancer, my Daughter and I have doing Holidays different. She found this House , read everything about it and told me this was where she wanted to stay for the night. Excellent choice as very clean very private and relaxing with an awesome view. We will be staying here again :) ( the only issue I had was the 30 minutes it took for me to figure out the Ninja coffee maker, but after I googled it, all was good) thanks so much for you beautiful hospitality and the use of your house.

Maggie’s Cottage was everything we had hoped for and more. It was very comfortable and so peaceful. It was also nice have all the kitchen items needed to cook meals at the house when you wanted to just stay in and relax after a beach day. We will definitely stay here again. We chose this rental for the 6 ladies in our Oregon family for our annual Girls’ Weekend to the coast. This has been a family tradition for 30-some years. This home lived up to the expectations in every way. The beautiful decorating and historic charm provided a comfortable and relaxing weekend for all of us. This is the best equipped beach house we have ever rented for this occasion. It was a short walk to Nye Beach with shops and dining options in Newport. We cannot recommend this rental too highly, and Andrea was very proactive and responsive in communicating with us.

The house was beautiful and clean. It was close to beach access and local restaurants and attractions. Lisa was quick to respond to any messages. I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful home. Very clean and well stocked kitchen for cooking when eating in. We enjoyed the variety of board games, movies, ping pong and several rounds of Mario Kart on the Wii. This is the kind of place you can tell the hosts stay in often and truly cares for. It really feels like home. Great location, easy access to beach and restaurants. I hope to stay again.

Fantastic location for a girls' trip- relaxing, well stocked kitchen, gorgeous back patio space and perfect amount of space. We'll for sure be back!

Our stay was problem free. The house was roomy, clean and located perfectly for a variety of day trips. The beach was beautiful and a matter of steps out the door. We ate breakfast and dinner every day in the house. The kitchen was well equipped. Nothing was lacking in any regard. Loved it, and we are thankful that we had this experience as part of our vacation.

To be clear, there are less expensive places to stay, but the house was really nice, well appointed, and the view was pretty special. It really doesn’t get any better since you’re right on the beach, and the cost was consistent with that benefit. For us, we were looking for special and this place totally nailed it. Perfect!!

Amazing views. Description and photos are accurate. All appliances worked. Comfortable beds. Well stocked. Grace was great at communicating. Stairs to front door are pretty long so recommending discussing with owner if you have trouble navigating steep stairwells.

happy to return to Annie’s second cottage after staying in her other one years ago, it was quiet, private, & had everything we needed for a couple great days a the coast!

We stayed with our two young children and had a very relaxing weekend. The views were beautiful. As described, it wouldn’t be a good fit for those with trouble navigating a rugged path down to the beach or unwilling to cross a quickly moving mid shin depth stream. We didn’t mind and found it manageable with two young kids. The peaceful atmosphere was worth it.

We loved staying in the Happy Clam! The large house accommodated our family really well, with everyone getting their own bedroom and bathroom. The balcony and bunk bed room was really fun for the kids in our group. They loved looking over the balcony and waving to the adults on the main level below. The large windows on the main level facing the bay was the best feature of the Happy Clam. It was neat watching people dig for clams and the sunsets were absolutely amazing! It was the perfect spot for our excursions to the aquarium, petting zoo, and aquatic center, which were all less than a 5 minute drive away. A lovely location made for a great trip to Newport!

Thanks so much for a fantastic week. The view was incredible, the place was very cute and clean. Paul was very responsive to messages. The stairs to the beach are a little challenging for someone with mobility issues, but I went into it knowing that would be the case. There is a very accessible beach ramp a couple of blocks to the south. Had a great, relaxing time and I'm now inviting my friends to coordinate renting both sides of the duplex for next time.

What a fantastic place this is, it will not disappoint. Spacious, clean and felt like a home. The host was always proactive and friendly, I'd have no hesitation booking here again, it's just a beautiful outlook.

Wonderful place to stay! The pictures do not do it justice-- so many little touches throughout that make you feel at home. The view is incredible and we loved just sitting on the deck and enjoying the ocean. The location is perfect-- private, quick walk to the beach, and an easy drive into town. Lisa's place had the most well stocked kitchen of any Airbnb I've stayed at! It was obvious that this is a well loved home and we felt lucky to get a chance to stay here. We'll definitely be back!
