A-Frame in the Woods + Hot Tub

KatieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
An absolutely perfect retreat cabin! It is very remote, super quiet, and tucked deep within trees. The kitchen is one of the most stocked ones I've ever been in, with all of the appliances, pots, pans, measuring cups, and more. (Some Airbnbs are minimally stocked, but this one felt like a real kitchen!) The sectional couch was SO comfortable! The cabin featured lots of decks and outdoor space with great furniture to lounge on. There were little light catchers everywhere so when the sun streamed through the high windows, they would cast little rainbows all over the room, which added to the excellent ambiance. The back porch doors had screens in them so we could have them open during the day to listen to nature, but not have any of the bugs come in, which was such a plus! The perfect nature retreat to get away from the busy world and just ~relax~
A spacious living area features comfortable seating including a gray sofa and an armchair, with a soft area rug underfoot. The kitchen is visible in the background, furnished with modern appliances and dark cabinetry. Natural light filters in through a large window.

Cozy quiet retreat

ValentinaRating, 5 starstoday
We stayed one night on our way back to CT from MI with our 10 month old and dog. Jessi and Michael were very friendly and responsive. The apartment was immaculate and decorated very well. There were snacks stocked for us when we arrived. Our baby and dog loved seeing the horses in the backyard. We do a trip once or twice a year so I’m sure we’ll be back. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Yurt! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable — it truly felt like a home away from home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our experience seamless and relaxing. The host was fantastic from start to finish: super responsive, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Peter went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and offered great local tips that really enhanced our trip. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and hassle-free getaway. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Wild Pines Ranch-Sauna~Gameroom

If you're looking for a quiet and clean stay with fun amenities ~15 minutes from the heart of Cook Forest, book this place. While we only communicated with Kyla over the app, she was proactive & helpful with what we needed for check in (easy!) We didn't need anything during our stay so didn't interact with her otherwise. We ended up spending so much time out and about that we didn't end up using the pool table/ping pong table/sauna 😫, but we did enjoy the fire pit and the s'mores supplies Kyla provided :) Local reccs- the Forest Cathedral of Cook Forest (Longfellow Trail), Cooksburg Cafe for food + ice cream, Double Diamond Deer Ranch, and MacBeth's Country Store!

Idyllic artist cottage with fireplace

PaulRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Margo’s place like being in a storybook cottage. Very relaxing, beautiful scenery and sounds of nature. Plenty of wildlife to see outside the back door overlooking the pond. Very private atmosphere. Cottage was well stocked and cozy. Easy to follow directions we had no issue finding the cottage. Restaurants within 8-14 miles. Many options. Cottage has plenty of utensils if cooking on site with kitchen or grill! Lots of state parks and attractions within half hour drive. Not too hard to find something to do. Communication was excellent! Margo is very pleasant to talk to and helpful. She is responsive if you have questions. She makes the stay unique.
