What can I say about the apartment except that it's perfect in every way! The accommodation is perfectly equipped with all the comforts: with a choice for children rather small umbrella bed with sheets and pillows or the single bed which avoids taking the umbrella bed when the children are small for example. Also available is a hair dryer and even a straightener, which shows the level of equipment in the accommodation. And then the must-have of the apartment for me is the washer-dryer, really great when you need to wash on site! The hosts are very welcoming and give all the details about the rental (location, parking, etc.) before arriving. I didn't even have to ask anything. We'll happily return to this home on a future stay in Sainte Mère Église!

The house was delightful. Exactly as described. Audrey was super helpful and responsive to any questions. The location was ideal for our visit to Sainte mere Eglise. We love the area and being part of the D-Day remembrance and celebrations. Would highly recommend and we are likely to hopefully book again

From the warmth of the welcome, the beautiful house and amazing gardens, the history, the graciousness of the building and the generosity of our hosts. It was impeccable. If you are visiting the Normandy beaches I can’t recommend this Airbnb enough. A truly special place that will stay with you for weeks afterwards.

Close to Sainte-Mère-Église

I was delighted that my choice was for this listing. The place is charming, very quiet, and relatively close to "amenities" (Ste Mère Église a few kilometers away). This place is great for a family of two adults and two kids. The supply of linens is a plus, especially for short stays. The house is charming, beautifully decorated and well-equipped. We enjoyed the little welcome gift (a great bottle of cider and small locally made cookies). Contacts with Delphine (who is in charge of managing the property) were very friendly. In short, a great place that I would definitely recommend (except for people who don't appreciate the quietness of the countryside, of course!;))

Ferme de Franqueville: The Little House

Jean-Louis is a fantastic host and the farm is a functional safe-haven for anyone eco conscious. My partner and I genuinely had the best three nights sleep here we have had in years, is it the lack of cellular connectivity? Maybe. Or perhaps it was the mattress beneath us, a perfect amalgamation of springs and cushioning. The duvet, a heavy feathered delight that keeps you warm when cold and cool when hot. We spent evenings in the courtyard, soaking in the sun as the light softened and the goslings huddled together for the night. The farm’s aspect is phenomenal, La Petite maison where we stayed, was drenched in evening light and felt nothing short of idyllic with a glass of wine in hand, listening to the neighing of nearby horses as each day came to a close. The nearby village had everything you should need for a short stay, and was within walking distance from the farm. Highly recommend!

Great place to base for WWII Normandy tours. Very nice house with a great private yard. Quiet in the evenings. Resturant’s within walking distance.
