The cabin is large and modern. Large windows let nature in. It faces the Vestfjorden and has a magnificent view. After a good walk, you can relax in a spacious sauna with a panoramic window or let the heat from the wood stove warm you. Two of the bedrooms have a very high standard where you can enjoy the view, either towards the mountains in the east or towards the mountains in the west. The cabin has a large loft living room with TV. Here you can watch movies or connect your own game console.

The nearest store, Coop Extra Ankenes, is 18.6 km away and can be reached in 20 minutes by car.

Our cabin is situated in calm and lush surroundings at the end of the road on the island of Dyrøy. The island is sheltered from the open ocean by Senja. The legend tells that the famous Norwegian Viking chief Tore Hund (“Thor the Hound”) had his reindeer on the island and from that time the island is called Dyrøy - the animal island. The “Helge Ingstad”Cabin has been decorated and set-up with ever attention to detail to make your evenings with us comfortable and relaxed. Lovingly furnished with drift wood and natural materials the cabins accommodate five to six people. We have a sauna near the river (additional for 450NOK). Our three cozy log cabins „Helge Ingstad Hytte“, „Eivind Astrup Hytte” and "Wanny Woldstad Hytte" are all to rent on Airbnb.
