Grand Selva Lodge is a fantastic choice for the budget-minded traveler who wants to enjoy the forest, have food available on-site, and a knowledgeable host who can help arrange transport, activities, etc. Karin was very friendly, and even catered to my daughter's food preference during our dinner. The night walk was fun, though it felt a bit hurried. That being said, for the average traveler it would be a fun hour of wildlife engagement, so I would recommend it. I'll stay longer next time, and hope to get a better handle on trails/access because I wasn't super clear on those options this go-around. Thank you, Karin ( y familia) - we will see you again!

El lugar es increíble y lo complementa el excelente servicio y hospitalidad. Recomiendo mucho La Casa del Viajero, realmente me sorprendió mucho lo atentos que son Santiago y Gina. Una estancia excelente, el lugar es muy limpio y de verdad el servicio es lo mejor.

This is a great place for your jungle adventures without spending on a "luxury" stay. It felt just as luxurious and even more private than we anticipated. Restaurant was tasty, there wasn't technically a "bar" to hang out but the common area was nice with a great view.

Had the most wonderful stay at Suchipakari. Made me feel right at home, very clean, quiet and relaxing. Definitely would stay there again! Met such amazing connections there too

The hacienda was perfect for our groups weekend stay for a nearby wedding. Elisabeth and her husband were helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Muy recomendada la ubicación, lugar perfecto para descansar y disfrutar del dia. Recomendado ir en automóvil para hacer actividades cerca de Tena. Muy limpio, personal muy amable. La comida del restaurante muy buena y con precios adecuados. La unica obervacion, la señal del Internet estuvo muy leve, el wifi no sirvió.

Lieben Dank an Luisa und David für ihre tolle Gastfreundschaft. David hat wie ein Sternekoch für uns gekocht. Es war so lecker, ebenso das Frühstück. Vor allem werden Zutaten aus dem Obst- und Kräutergarten verwendet, Wurst und Fleisch kaufen sie vor Ort und nicht im Supermarkt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

El lugar de Juan Fernando es lindo, la comida deliciosa, agua caliente, piscina y jacuzzi todo perfecto. Seguro regresamos!

This was an excellent choice for our family. We had 2 separate rooms in the same cabin. One for the kids and one for us adults. As soon as we arrived our host sent someone over to pick us up and we didn’t need to wait much at all. The Lodge is however across the river on the island and you do need to pay .50c per person to cross. Once we arrived we saw the beautiful swimming pool and gardens. Very clean place with everything you need. The hosts are very kind and helpful. My suggestion is to make sure you have everything you need before you cross if you don’t plan on leaving. The breakfast was very good and it was served with fresh fruit, juice, eggs, bread, cheese, jam, coffe or tea. It was delicious. I recommend it for families looking to relax and enjoy the view and beauty grounds.

It was a nice place near the airport perfect for people who have a late flight and don’t want to travel to far

Book it! An amazing, beautiful, and truly unique place to stay. Literally sleeping in a hand dug cave. It took the original owner 20 years to chisel it out of the hilltop, and another 10 years to turn it into a hotel. Breakfast was included. We booked horseback riding for four people (they have 5 horses) for an hour it was a reasonable $72 total. The guide led us around the beautiful farm that the property is on. They also offer guided walking tours and a free tour of the hotel. We did the wine & cheese pairing ($8/person) which was fun to connect with the host and other guests. 2 glasses of wine +cheese, one of which they aged in the cave. We bought dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The road in is a bit exciting, managed to make it up in a van but had to try twice in two steep spots to actually make it up. We stayed one night before flying out of Quito which worked well as it's only 15 minutes once on the highway. Do it!

Acogedor y limpio si volvería lo que no me agrado es que suban un porcentaje más del acordado en el la plataforma, por ocacion del feriado, deberían subirlo en la misma plataforma.

Excelente alojamiento, desde la reserva Violeta estubo pendiente de nosotros y a la llegada la persona que nos recibió siempre estubo atenta. El lugar muy ordenado y tranquilo, la zona del rio un lugar muy hermoso para estar . recomendado y seguro regreso por ahí.
