Mansion vacation rentals in Nanyuki

I stayed at the Kiota House for two nights in February 2024 with a group of 8th people, and can really recommend it for groups. The house is an old colonial house build on a small escarpment with absolutely amazing views over the savanna below, and mount Kenya in the distance. The house is beautifully decorated, the rooms are all spacious and ensuite, great balconies and public spaces, beautiful garden, etc. The staff were very kind and helpful, the cook was amazing (we brought our own food and I don't think we could have done a better job ourselves cooking it). We also asked for a safari vehicle for game drives, and they provided us with Peter Mukubio - one of the best guides that I have had in Kenya. The conservancy is nice, many elephants, giraffes, we saw lions, cheetahs, bateared foxes, lots of birds, and many more. To note - they only accept 4x4 cars in safari colours, and you always need a guide with you. This could have been communicated clearer. Apart from this, all was good!

The house is lovely and the kids really enjoyed the pool. Susan was very friendly and so were the other staff. The location is ideal with no external distractions. We loved everything about the location and it was everything it promised and more.

Everything was perfect during our stay at Kilima Gardens! Felix, Yasmin and the team made us feel very welcome from the first moment. They were very flexible and proactive to accommodate the needs of our large group. The staff was one of the best we have seen in Kenya, they prepared delicious meals with fresh ingredients out of their own garden. The house itself is brand new, beautifully furnished.l and has great amenities. We would very much recommend anyone to stay at Kilima Gardens!!

The house was really beautiful. It resembles a Spanish villa with the beautiful Mt Kenya as the backdrop. The staff were amazing, helped us from the moment we got in. Celestite, Jackson and Ephantus really looked after our every need. The food prepared was excellent and thoughtful. The swimming pool was lovely and the outdoor fireplace under the stars gave us a magical evening. The sundowner deck on top of the house gave us some beautiful sunsets. Our dogs enjoyed it, just a note, this is around farmland and there are plenty of ticks on the farm animals around, so just beware and ensure your dog is up to date on their flea and tick medicine before coming here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it highly.

Highly recommend staying at Solio Gardens. House was lovely and spacious and beautifully clean. Beds were comfy and showers hot! Our children enjoyed the pool table and space in the garden to play football. We were a party of 11 and self catered. Kitchen was basic but fine to cook simple meals. We were confused by the location of the property as the map is inaccurate but Alex explained exact location (near the airstrip in Nanyuki) before we set off. We went to Ol Peteja Conservancy (a 45 minute drive away) which was awesome as you see so many animals. Would stay here again.

Skip all the hotels and lodges in this area and stay here. It's a perfect home away from home. The gardens are a perfect place to relax and watch the sunset. The kids have enough grounds equipped with safe play sets. The home is well secured. There's adequate trees that add to the quality of air and serenity. If you are a fun of animals you will be well pleased here. We stayed a family of 8 adults and 7 kids and there was adequate room for us all. The bat is well equipped for that refreshing evening drink. Great music selection with perfect sound to cheer up your spirits. I doubt we would have the kind of experience we had here in any other place. Plus places like Nanyuki are literally 30 mins drive away and so much to do in the area if you have to live. The only downside is we couldn't stay longer or forever! Oh, and I can't forget to mention the excellent service offered by everyone from the owner to the workers. Also one of our cars needed a Jumpstart and Mr Turunga was gracious.

Excellent space and plenty of extra amenities like the heated pool, grill and entertainment

Batian House is a home away from home. I was particularly impressed by the simple but elegant furnishings - no overkill. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a calm quiet time in the wild.

The Naromoru Country Home was a delight to stay at! The big beautiful gardens and lawn were lovely. The house is old, but charming and big. There is plenty of space for a family or two to enjoy the stay. It's a very peaceful location, with views of Mt. Kenya, if the clouds clear.

Nice place

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Janet's place 😃. Given more time, we would have extended our reservation. We felt completely at ease, and Stella provided exceptional hospitality and assistance. It made our friend's birthday 🎂 special.

great location just on the edge of ol pejeta. fantastic views. possibility to rent wood fire for chimney and bbq. we were not in this specific house but in another one but they all have overall same layout. yet there is privacy due to the overall layout of the land

Great & serene place

Amazing place and every peaceful with so much nature surrounding all around. We did a game drive which was fun and got to see all sorts of animals. Only wished we stayed longer than the two days. It was definitely worth getting away from the city for a bit. Tina was super friendly and always communicated if we needed anything. The chef was amazing as well. Loved the food!! Can’t wait to come back!

Wow where to start. Misbah was a great host- very responsive, gave adequate information and was very pleasant. The house, looks even better than in the photos, the service was good from Carole and the food from Stanely was stellar. All were very professional and pleasant to be around. We really enjoyed the game drive, we saw all of the big 5 - with exception of the cheetah. Of course plenty gazelles, warthogs, zebras, oh and the beautiful giraffes. The chimps too were great to see. It’s a great destination for all the kids and adults too. Will definitely come back

Great host especially given how last minute our booking was. Accommodated our need for a very late check in with little hustle. Great house and especially convenient if driving into OlPej.
