Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Nanaimo

The comfort of the cabin was perfect for our rainy weekend away as we ended up spending most of our stay indoors. The little fireplace kept the space cozy and warm for when we came in from the hot tub. Plenty of room to set up a large dog bed and the enclosed deck was wonderful to allow her to roam without any worry of her wandering off. We had a lovely time at Ash & Brett's.

We loved this paradise of a house and setting! The Bidet was so much fun!! We’ll be back!

We had a great time at Scott's place. It was well equipped, comfortable and felt very homely and welcoming. Scott was very friendly and responded immediately to any queries. He gave us helpful tips for local walks and wildlife viewing. We particularly loved watching hummingbirds just outside the lounge windows. We would recommend Karmix Cottage to anyone wanting a get away from it all break, but within easy reach of beaches, waterfalls and forests.

Absolutely stunning location - saw loads of wildlife from the terrace, and an amazing view over the water. Property was also very well supplied with a super modern kitchen and ample bed and bath space. Will be back!

We had a very enjoyable two night start at Haining’s place. Beautiful location, very peaceful, idyllic. A highlight was waking up to see deer in the garden. Great value for money. Excellent host, helpful communication. We would definitely stay again, and would recommend to friends/family.

Angel House was a grand choice for holiday. A hot spot for a mini reunion with family I hadn’t seen in donkey years. Diana and Paul greeted us warmly and were available throughout our stay. At €750 per night and a €21 cash fee per guest, it accommodated up to 12 guests in 7 beds. Listed as “Entire Home” was attached to Diana’s living quarters but it did not detract the experience. Charming décor, window coverings invited early morning light and hotel-quality pillows needed after a long drive. The provided salt and pepper were a nice touch. Nomads will know to bring their own essentials but I prefer not to ask hosts for things during my stay. Despite a few minor issues—no ice on arrival, low ceiling in upstairs bathroom—house provided ample space otherwise with reliable Wi-Fi and a dishwasher! Location was close to Maffeo Sutton & Colliery Dam Park, a short drive to Duke Point Ferry Terminal and bistros around for lunch. Casa Angel de Nanaimo is a value for a memorable reunion!

This place was clean, beautiful, and so peaceful. We truly felt relaxed and at home throughout our stay. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and made our time in Parksville extra special. If we come back to Parksville, we’ll definitely be staying here again. Thank you for such a lovely space and warm hospitality!

This was a fabulous rental, it was perfect in every way. Great place for shorter stay. As described only a very well stocked kitchen good for breakfast and lunches. Couple of dinner options within walking distance. Would certainly book again!!

This is our second stay. We love the space and the location. Great value given proximity to beach, other amenities. Most everything one needs is 10 min away or less. The cabin has all we need including a thoughtful welcome gift. plenty of coffee, supplies & linens. I am a light sleeper and find it very peaceful here & beds are comfortable. We'll be back next year. thx for a great stay!

Stayed here for a week attending classes at VIU. Loved the proximity to the university, grocery store and restaurants, and the quiet neighborhood. The bed was comfortable and I slept great. Travis was super responsive and helpful. Appreciated the breakfast items and little extras.

Really loved my stay here. Its a cute, private and relaxing get away space. I do wish the cold plunge tub was a bit bigger for bigger bodies, but the cold shower was lovely. The sauna is amazing to have the trees as a view when inside, good heat in there as well. The hot tub was awesome, great seating layout with jets and lights, easy to use. With local amenities within 10-15mins drive away, this is a great relaxation getaway. Megan and Byran are great hosts as well, ensuring my stay is good and were able to accomodate a slightly earlier check in and very open letting me know to reach out if there was anything I needed to make my stay better. Definitely will be coming back here.

Can't say enough good things about my stay here, everything was exactly what I needed, I just wish I had more time to check out everything that the area had to offer. Fantastic, responsive hosts, I would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.

What a hidden treasure! The scenery was unreal, and so peaceful! We had an absolutely amazing and memorable family vacation. This house has everything you could need, from paper towels to measuring cups, and they even had a little dog food and bags. The fully fenced side yard was amazing to have for our dogs. With the beach just steps away, it was magical! Lots of wildlife spotted also, seal lions, eagles…just wow. We will definitely be back. Also, Erika was so quick to respond and very accomodating. Loved everything!

Beautiful, clean, and cozy cottage. Relaxing farm setting property. Large fenced in yard for dog. Very sunny, bright, and private. Mary was very accomodating, friendly, and quick to respond to my questions a d requests. Went above and beyond by recommending a online resource to access other vancouver island short term rentals. I stayed here with my friends and we absolutely loved this place!! It wasn’t far from Downtown Nanaimo but far enough where it was very peaceful and quiet. Janet was very responsive and would respond right away and gave us recommendations on what to do in Nanaimo. The space itself was very clean and cozy. We highly recommend staying here.

We were blown away by our hosts’ meticulous cleanliness, neatness, instructions and offerings; this was truly a bed & breakfast, with hard-boiled eggs, homemade muffins, fresh fruit, juice, bars, coffee, half & half, etc. The best Airbnb experience, over many years!! It was close to beautiful parks, beaches and restaurants. The view from the bedroom window was amazing, parking available & safe. Hosts were proactive and responsive. Privacy was afforded, as desired. We will definitely stay there again, when we’re in the area!!
