Nearby is the ferry for a day at Kawau Island. The downstairs studio is private but we are close by and pleased to help and chat if you choose. Warkworth has large grocery stores and shopping but we have an adequate shopping centre and local pub within walking distance.

Karekare was badly affected by Cyclone Gabrielle but our cottage has stood strong & unharmed & unchanged for the last 40years. KK environs & roads were badly damaged. Lone Kauri Rd will be closed for slip repairs from 8th April '24 There is no wifi & phone coverage can be patchy. Dogs welcome but let me know first.
