Live like a King in my Castle

KarenRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Pete is a very special man, and accordingly, Pete's Castle is an extremely special place. If you are looking for your standard hotel room, keep looking. But if you are looking for a fun and funky experience in a restored Norman castle tower, this is it. Pete has lovingly restored his castle stone by stone, and there is some new and interesting feature everywhere you look. Pete - and his partner Eva, who is also a very lovely woman - care about their guests as well, and take care to make every person feel welcome and invited. This was our second time staying here, and I know that we will definitely be back again.

Alan described it just well. Gregg was exactly what I thought it would be. We chose this stay because of the charm that we knew it would offer. Thank you again Alan and I wish you the best in your next venture. Hopefully we are able to return when everything has transitioned. Will be amazing to see it.

Castle Thornhill Suite. Wilton Castle, Ireland.

ScottRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We were blown away by how beautiful and unique our stay at Wilton Castle was! The drive in through the gates are like a step back into time, filled with anticipation as you get closer to the beautiful architecture! The suite itself is enormous with tons of room to spread out, high ceilings, and spacious bedrooms. Each bedroom has a unique theme which really brings out the character. There are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the working farm right next door. We were delighted to be watch the dairy cows file in for milking and to observe the skillful border collie. The grounds themselves are a delight to explore with beautiful trees, enchanting old ruins, and picturesque river winding its way through the property. It was amusing the watch the local ravens gather materials for their nests in the ruins of the castle tower. Certainly a stay that will last long in our memories. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! We definitely hope to stay again!
The grand exterior of the house is framed by a well-maintained lawn and towering trees. A gravel pathway leads to the entrance, flanked by stone gates. The clear blue sky contrasts with the structure's historic architecture, showcasing multiple windows and a stately facade.

Glenville Park, One Bedroom 2

Our second visit to Glenville was also something special: a different time of year and other wonderful impressions in the park, which we continued to explore. And Dare was a pleasant conversationalist and substitute host. We felt very comfortable and discovered new things. The journey through time in Glenville was a special highlight on our trip through beautiful Ireland. And Silvia: Maybe we'll get to know you sometime.
The grand house, built between 1776 and 1788, is viewed from a gravel driveway leading through stone gates. Lush greenery surrounds the estate, with trees and manicured lawns enhancing the home's historic facade. A bright blue sky creates a serene backdrop for the scenery.

Glenville Park, One Bedroom 1

CarolRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was a great experience staying in Sylvia’s home. The estate is massive and the furnishings were of the style and period characteristic of the home. I wish we had more time to spend exploring the grounds. Upon our arrival we did have to wait a short time before she arrived to let us in but other than that it was fine.
A historic castle stands majestically on expansive grounds, framed by lush greenery. Its eclectic architecture features a mix of stone textures and vibrant window details. Bright foliage contrasts against the castle's weathered exterior, while colorful accents introduce a touch of character to the scene.

GraceRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Staying here was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The moment we drove through the gates, our jaws literally dropped—the castle is absolutely breathtaking in person! From start to finish, everything about our stay was magical. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming, and even gave us a personal tour of the castle grounds after a delicious breakfast. Our room was immaculate, cozy, and full of charm—we loved every second of it. As an added bonus, we were greeted by their adorable local cat, Elizabeth, who instantly made us feel at home. The location is also fantastic—just a short walk to several great restaurants, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local cuisine without needing to drive. I can’t recommend this place enough, 10/10!

This was such a fun experience, and such a treat to stay in sign an old castle. it was a dream to stay here for our honeymoon, and the complementary bottle of wine and breakfast were icing on the cake. It's so worth splurging a little, and honestly it's priced very reasonably for the experience!
