We can not say enough good things about Root’s Retreat ! If you are looking for a peaceful, get out of town, stay- this is it! Decor is very well done, bed was super comfortable, coffee/ drink area is well stocked, AND they just added a pool! We will return when we need a recharge. Thank you Jeffrey!

Cedar Street Hideaway-private bedroom 1

Their family was very welcoming and sweet. We ate some good food for dinner and breakfast among good conversation. Their house is very clean and homey. My kids enjoyed their dogs, feathered animals, and kittens. The night time sky is great for star gazing. They cleaned my baby’s tray for her high chair without me asking which was really nice too. They also let my son gather eggs from the chickens.

The Legacy Suite #4- Located on a private ranch

MakaylaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We definitely enjoyed our stay. The place seems to also be a wedding venue so there was so much more to look forward to seeing during our stay. I enjoyed going into the red roof building, seeing all the history behind the ranch itself. We were only supposed to be there for one night but we like the peaceful environment so much, we bought another night without a second thought. Thank you for the stay, we’re already planning to go back sometime soon!

Rivers West Ranch: Texas Style Family Retreat

AshRating, 5 stars60 months ago
My favorite part was the view over looking the Brazos River. A lot of people make a big deal about the hill country and the different views you can see there but off this porch you have the rare glimpse back in time where Comanches use to roam and settlers first made their homesteads. The area is not built up and the view is unobstructed by any sign of civilization. At night the crickets sing really long and if you hoot off the porch it echoes down the river.
