Vacation rentals with beach access in Mount Waddington

Beautiful location in the historical part of the small town with tremendous sights of the sea, the mountains and the lazy seal sunbathing near the marina. Nigel‘s house is well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Great asset: You can use the lodge‘s kayaks and explore the beautiful Thasis Inlet. Nigel was a great and friendly host and gave helpful advice what to do in this remote area and what NOT do to - like leaving food in the car: There are a lot of bears roaming around. A nice coffee place is nearby. We visited off season in October so it’s very quite in Thasis which was a great experience. Nigel‘s place is highly recommended!

Sunny’s place is on the river close to all amenities. Great river view from the top floor balcony. Just what we needed for the night before heading out for a whale watching tour in the morning!

Great stay in Tahsis with Nigel. Everything we needed for a successful fishing trip was available. Nigel met us at the dock to check us in and show us the great property. Nigel checked in occasionally to make sure we had everything we needed. Top notch, we’ll be back without a doubt.

Great Stay at the hotel chateau riverside. Sunny the host was extremely friendly and clear instructions about the place. The Suite was super clean ! I Highly recommend this place.

We use to have our own cabin on this beautiful, quaint island and this room made us feel like we were back to our own little cabin.

Karen’s place was an ideal location in a beautiful residential neighborhood close to the water. It was spotlessly, clean and very comfortable. Karen was very easy to communicate and coordinate with regarding detail details for the stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Beautiful cozy place, spotlesly clean! Complete with amenities. This location is a 5 star! You can’t beat the sunrise and beautiful beach that’s just right in front of your door. Erin, the co host is a gem! She’s very responsive and she make sure I am comfortable and have everything I need during my stay. One of the best Air BnB I stayed for work. Magical! We spent 3 nights at coal harbour for a special family reunion. The views are simply spectacular, the house has a lot of charm with the bonus of modern bathrooms, and is in a very private, serene setting. Definitely plan to cook a BBQ on the deck whilst spotting sea lions, eagles and whales! It's only a 15min drive from port hardy, and well positioned for some spectacular day trips if you want some unspoilt nature. Finally, Erin was an amazing host - very responsive, friendly and proactive in ensuring we enjoyed our stay.

BEST. TRIP. EVER! The Whale House is a gem! This little slice of heaven has gorgeous views from every room. The house is secluded and serene but is a quick drive to town and surrounding activities. The house has every amenity, and as a bonus, there is a crab pot and instructions on how to crab! It was enjoyable. The northern end of Vancouver Island has many things to do- fishing, whale watching, Grizzly bear viewing, kayaking and so much more. You can also relax easily in this place. Sitting on the deck, reading my book while watching the resident bald eagles go about their day was one of my favorite memories of our time there. Nancy is the best hostess. She had many recommendations and was full of good ideas to cater to the needs of our group. We will go back to the Whale House again. We were already planning our next visit as we pulled out of the driveway. :)

It's always great to stay at a property where the host obviously cares about the comfort of the guest. I can't think of one item that we needed but couldn't find. It was perfect for cooking meals, had a big yard for playing, and was super close to the beach. The beds and furniture were cozy for the rainy days and Barb and Erin went out of their way to put smiles on my daughters faces. We will definitely be back.

I can’t say enough how friendly and funny Denise and Don were throughout our stay. The property is absolutely stunning, and a real testament to Dons incredible wood working skills and Denise eye for details and art. If you want a warm, cosy beautiful stay, this is it. Everything was spotless from the bedding to the floors. Everything has even been hand built or brought for quality. Really nice touches throughout, from the very comfy bed to the excellent shower and every single beautiful hand crafted element. Just up the hill from the beautiful Telegraph Cove, perfect. Keep your cameras ready for bear friends! We missed them but it just shows how close to the wild locals the boat house lets you get. We can’t thank them both enough! Thank you for the great recommendation of the whale watching and the Alder Lake burger van! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

We had an amazing time here! Such a beautiful location! And Billy & Shelly made the most of the location with how they renovated the home to be the perfect AirBnB. There were also so many little touches & amenities that were greatly appreciated (treats, wine, plenty of coffee & tea, fishing gear, linens, etc). Everything was well stocked that you might need (not the barebones feeling like some other properties). Another cool thing that other hosts should take note of is their use of a tankless hot water system; more energy efficient while providing guests as much hot water as they need. (Don’t rent a place where only one guest can have a shower per evening. 😅)) They have obviously been guests elsewhere, because it shows in the way they host. Shelly was also very helpful & responsive with her communication. There were a couple minor (and unavoidable) maintenance things due to the weather that they immediately addressed (in under an hour). And then they gifted us a little tackle

Everything was so well prepared that we had no issues in the slightest with our stay. Xin was always reaching out with things to do and places to see, making sure we were comfortable with everything. Their place has a beautiful yard with views of the ocean and we even saw the occasional deer nearby. And everything else was so comfortable and clean. Lovely place.

Susan has certainly given a lot of thought to furnishing the apartment. Great views out over the sea. A lot of lovely touches provided , milk, tea, coffee, water and sweet treats. Had a great stay.

We had a girl's weekend in Lynne's lodge and it was perfect. The space was so beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. Lynne was an excellent communicator and was so accommodating. Her flexibility about checkin and out times due to a snow storm made the whole experience stress free. What a beautiful and unique space to make beautiful memories ok our getaway.

We were very pleased with the AirBnB stay here. The property is accurately described on the site. It was very clean, the kitchen was well-appointed. The hostess was very helpful in the check in process. The property is close to the little village, about half way between the ferry and the marina. The deck has a wonderful view across to Port McNeill. While we were not here at the right time of year to enjoy Orca's in the waters, it would have been a great place to do so had we been here at the right time.
