It is built on the ruins of an ancient monastery at the top of Metaxochori village and beside it you can find hiking trails that lead to neighboring villages.

The Old Silk Gallery is over 100 years old and is a beautifully renovated former silk warehouse. It has high exposed wooden ceilings, an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, a loft with beds for four, an elegant sleeping gallery and beds downstairs around the cozy fireplace. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. But what makes it special are the hosts.
