Cottage vacation rentals in Mount Berry

This is our third year renting the cottage. We have turned it into a yearly tradition. Past two years we have had other family members rent other cottages. This is such a wonderful place to get away.

Great place

Came to take our 8.5 year old dog to see mountains. The Garden Cottage was squeaky clean, comfy cozy, and fantastic. The flowers and plants were gorgeous; I felt like a hobbit in the shire (high compliment). We cooked every night and never were without. Excellent WiFi, quiet area. The rooms don’t have ceilings so you can hear the TV In the living room or room next to you but honestly, yall will all be tuckered out. It gave it a summer camp vibe and each room had its own fans that would drown out noise if you wanted it too (plus AC). We will certainly be back And sharing this gem with our friends.

The perfect place to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary! This place was exactly as described. Clean, beautiful, quiet. So relaxing! We had everything we needed for a quiet weekend in. The attention to detail really shows the love and care put into this place. Even checking in on us when we had some bad weather to make sure we had power and to know where the emergency flashlights and lanterns were stored. Highly recommend this place!

We had a great time at Sunny Side Up Cottage! The entire cottage was so cozy and had everything we needed for a long weekend in Ellijay. Driving from the cottage to the downtown area was just over a five minute commute. We had great food at River Street Tavern and Butcher and Bottle in addition to tasting delicious ciders at Reece’s and beers at Cartecay Brewing. We were in town to visit family and had a great day trip in Blue Ridge riding the train and doing some shopping as well. We didn’t have great weather during our stay, but being able to sit and listen to the rain fall was so peaceful. The outdoor deck area was awesome and very serene. The driveway is steep and it is a little tough to see when it’s dark out but we did not have any issues getting in or out. Kimberly sent clear, detailed instructions and was very quick to respond to any questions. We would love to stay here again next time we are in town! Thank you!

Wonderful quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Enjoyed spending time as a family (dogs included). Great responsive hospitality.

The cabin is beautiful and feels like home. With amazing views, the feeling of being deep in the woods, and all of the amenities this place was just what we needed for both a relaxing and adventurous vacation. We loved the decorations and enjoyed ourselves in the amazing game room downstairs. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck while taking in the views and there was even a private hiking trail on the property. It is also very close to other hiking trails and waterfalls in the area, as well as close to shopping and dining in Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Cottage for a wedding event nearby. We loved the coziness of the Cottage and the view of the woods with the beautiful fall leaves was amazing!! Would highly recommend!!

Came down for a Perfect Game tournament. Dont care for the hotel scene. Loved the cottage. The area is beautiful and feels tucked away, but is so close to many restaurants and shops. Quick 20 minutes to any field we played on.

Everything about the butterfly cottage was perfect. We stayed here when we were in town for baseball at Lakepoint. It was so much better than 5 days in a hotel! We had space to spread out and relax and it was just about 20-25 minutes and no traffic to Lakepoint! Cat was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed! We plan to stay again in a few weeks when we are back in town!

How lucky am I that I ended up at Anne’s home during my time in Rome? It is a warm, comfortable and unique space with vintage charm and all the amenities you could imagine. Anne could NOT be a better host. I enjoyed my time at the Carriage House thoroughly.

Comfortable, peaceful and cozy, this home is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Emmy was wonderful; proactive and very quick to respond to my request for accommodation on a short timeline. She rallied her crew and had everything ready in short order. I will definitely visit again and plan on staying longer! Also, be sure and look at the other listings Emmye and Seth host.

This is a great little house close to the lake for a getaway. The beach area was really quiet during our stay and is a short walk from the house. Just be warned, it is down a path with a section that is fairly steep, so may be difficult to carry all your lake gear to. The house was very clean and well stocked including a range of toys for multiple age groups which was a huge amenity. My only critique is the upstairs air conditioner (located in the master bedroom for the whole upstairs) did struggle a bit to keep up with it being hot and humid. The second bedroom was a little warm even with the box fan provided. Overall though, this was a great vacation getaway rental.

We chose this place because we love Mentone, DeSoto St Park, just the whole area and I was looking for enough room for 6 of us and our dog. Our doodle vacations with us and this house was perfect with a large front yard on a quiet street. It was a meet in the middle place for our group. We like to cook, play games, puzzle, hike while we are here and Misti's place had great spaces especially for games and puzzles and was so cozy with the propane heaters and fireplace. Our power went out during the night in a storm but we were able to stay until it was restored because of the light from all the windows and we were plenty warm with the fireplace. We made use of the generous gift for breakfast for 2 at Hatter's in Mentone. Reservations are recommended for the best experience and we really had a nice time. It is a wonderfully unique place and the food was great. I loved that this was not the cookie cutter cabin but a beautiful cottage with attention to detail. We would happily return.

My children and I absolutely love to stay at Scott and Lisa’s property!! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking in the downtown Woodstock area! They are an incredible hosts, and my kids felt like this would be our home if we owned one in Woodstock!

A perfect place to have a peaceful weekend stay and not too far from downtown Ellijay.

The cabin was perfect for our family Christmas getaway!! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare great meals. The location is secluded but still close enough to get to stores if you forget something and there is a lot of amazing hiking within a short drive of the cabin. Misti was an amazing host and super proactive in communications and everything was very clear. I would highly recommend! And they decorated for Christmas (even with a tree) so we felt right at home!

Wow! This is hands down a fantastic spot to escape the busyness of life. The drive from Atlanta is manageable, making it an easy getaway. The city of Ellijay may be small, but it’s packed with charm. Don’t overlook its great food options and fun, unique shops. The nearby wineries are within a short drive and add a delightful touch to the trip. The house itself is vibrant and full of character, perfectly complemented by a stunning natural backdrop that immerses you in the beauty of Mother Nature. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved this place—it was quiet, calm, and exactly what I needed to focus on work. The master bedroom was everything a master bedroom should be—spacious, luxurious, and beyond what I had expected. Honestly, it was such a pleasant surprise. Overall, the property was truly magnificent—stunning in every way. I can’t say it enough: wow! This is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed.
