Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Mount Airy

Great location! While watching the sun rise over the mountains, we spotted a herd of deer grazing in a field beyond the fence line. Our dogs absolutely loved it here! It’s safe to say, The Dairy Barn is now our new favorite stop. Tasteful decor throughout. Nice kitchen ware. Neat refrigerator with soft lighting, beautiful gas stove with clear directions. If you don’t feel like cooking, we Highly recommend Pizza Perfect on Main (7 minutes down the road). Excellent pepperoni twists & homemade ranch dressing. Thanks again Rebecca and your crew for the clean & cozy stay!

The house was absolutely perfect. It was a peaceful, country respite that provided every need you might want. The goats were a huge plus..they were sooo sweet! We’d come back again any time!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The location is truly beautiful, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that was exactly what we needed. The home itself clean and well-stocked with everything we could possibly need – a real home away from home. Communication with the hosts was a breeze from the moment of booking, making the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. As pet owners, we especially appreciated how genuinely pet-friendly the property was, which made our trip even more relaxing. To top it all off, the affordability was fantastic for such a high-quality experience. We can't recommend this Airbnb enough and would love to return!

Back Porch was my favorite spot in the morning, birdsong and coffee. practically a bird sanctuary. well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Living areas spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms clean and comfortable.

We just returned from another wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. This was our fourth stay at Cathy's cabin, and it never disappoints. The cabin is very clean, comfortable, and well laid out, and the view out over the valley below is stunning. We have never had any problems or complaints, which is why we have made it our favorite spot to stay when up in the Blue Ridge area. We will be going back.

Very nice. Antiques. Front porch with swing, loveseat, table & chairs. Enjoyed several meals on front porch. House well supplied with pillows, blankets & towels. We cooked our meals onsite. Kitchen had dishes, pans, utensils, spices, everything we needed to prepare the food we brought in. Very peaceful. Beautiful. We plan to to be return guests. Recommending to others. Enjoyable stay. We needed a place to stay for 9 nights while we were waiting to close on our new home. We were relocating from Columbia, MO to the Greensboro, NC area with two pets. We had closed on our home in Columbia 2 weeks prior to arriving at Duke’s Place. We had been staying with friends. It felt so good to arrive at Duke’s Place and have it all to ourselves! We were SO pleased when we got there. It is an adorable, quaint little home on an isolated property with a pasture. The home was beautifully decorated and very up to date. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen. I loved the beautiful soaker tub in the bathroom. There is a fenced back yard with a nice tall, wood paneled privacy fence that was perfect for our pets. Taylor is a wonderful host and was incredibly kind and responsive. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

We’ve stayed at Mark of Design many times! We enjoy the beautiful & peaceful setting of the horse farm. In addition to watching the horses in the fields, we saw deer, wild turkeys & rabbits. It is also very convenient for restaurants in downtown Hillsville, as well as nearby Galax & Mt Airy.

The condo was spotless with good coffee next door and yummy bagel sandwiches across the street. If you’re a walker, many casual restaurants and a Trader Joe’s easily accessible by foot or by car. We only ate breakfasts in but appreciated the many glasses and silverware. Quiet area and friendly neighbors.

We enjoyed our stay at The Mill! The suite was far more spacious than we expected. Be sure to sleep with the windows open because the sound of the river reminds you of the beautiful setting in this charming town. The bed was very comfortable and there’s even a sitting area in the bedroom. We enjoyed morning coffee in front of the picture windows that provided a stunning view. We loved the restoration story and handmade features. Marcia was very easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable.

We were not able to stay on our dates as our daughter woke up extremely sick. I called Randy and he was willing to move the dates for a future date. I really appreciate him working with us and was unfortunate we had to cancel the morning of. We look forward to staying there soon.

We truly enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided. We were able to ride our bicycles on the New River Trail in Galax. This was our second stay at Brian’s place and he excels in providing excellent amenities. The facilities were exceptionally clean and everything we needed was provided.

This apartment was just as described! I was in town for my son's Parents' Weekend at HPU and I booked this spot for my husband and me to stay. My husband got sick at the last minute, so I was so thankful to have a place that felt cozy and safe for my time there alone. They really do have everything that you could think of! I felt right at home and even fell asleep (for a little while) on the couch with the cozy throw blankets. The bed was super-comfortable with soft sheets. I did not hear any noises from the upstairs home. The street parking is well-lit and I had no problem parking right by the walkway to the entrance. Everything was very clean! The bathroom was newly renovated and I particularly liked the wall heater and the cute basketweave tile. There was a lovely basket of snacks on my arrival and even a bottle of wine from a local winery! I hope that my husband will be able to join me at the Carolina Cottage on our next visit to HPU! Thanks for letting me stay!

This is a stunning spot on Groundhog Mountain/Doe Run. We enjoyed time out on the deck with the tabletop firepit, comfy chairs, and it was completely enclosed so our dog could be out with us, which was great! Haley’s place was immaculate, well provisioned, had comfortable mattresses, handy to the Parkway, not far from the Olde Mill and the Maples Restaurant and secluded, tucked in to lush foliage. I would highly recommend staying there, if you love being in the mountains and woods, it’s a beautiful spot! She was also extremely responsive and very flexible, which we really appreciated.

We came to HPU for our daughter’s graduation! Our stay at Emily’s was perfect in so many ways. Close to campus, lots of space, safe & clean. Above all affordable! I would highly recommend this arbnb to future parents.
