Our self-catering flat is in arguably the most charming and interesting part of the city - right next to Lancaster Castle - in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but take a couple of minutes’ walk and you’re at the heart of town. We welcome people looking for a peaceful, quiet stay in this historic area. IMPORTANT - the nature of our property, and the limits of our insurance, mean, regretfully, we are unable accommodate children below nine years, nor accept pets. Strictly NON-SMOKERS only.

The Mount - Kendal
The Mount is a newly refurbished stylish apartment that is part of No 10 Mount Pleasant, a former private girls finishing school. Mount Pleasant and The Mount building is over 200 years old. Situated in Kendal town centre (there's a two minute walk down the hill into town) the Mount is surrounded by local greens and parkland and to the west of the building boasts a beautiful golf course, fell and woodland for keen walkers. Within 100 meters there is a welcoming traditional drinking pub.

Views to Loughrigg Fell and the Fairfield Horseshoe dominate with the rooftops of Ambleside below. The Coniston Fells are also clearly visible (weather permitting). A private balcony is accessed from the kitchen; just the place to sit and relax after a day on the fells , so makes the most of the sunsets.

Guests are welcome to park up as early as you want before check in or drop luggage off in a safe place,but please let us know in advance.
