Cottage vacation rentals in Moray Firth

Absolutely fantastic location, with fantastic scenery nearby. Had some wonderful walks, literally behind the property. The BBQ area was fantastic like the hot tub. I can’t say much more, but I will be looking to return ASAP Matthew is a fantastic host and nothing seems to be too much of a problem. Loved the place, oh and the Highland cows are awesome.

Second time we have stayed here, will make it a third sometime in the future. Great cottage and location

Simpathetically converted malt house in a peaceful setting. Good sized house with absolutely brilliant garden that had plenty space for the dogs to run around. Comfy beds with fresh linen, towels, robes and slippers. Well stocked kitchen with thoughtful welcome gift. Cozy lounge with plenty logs for the burner. Great little study space for those that still have to do a bit of work. Hot tub clean with non-slip rubber mats around it. Unfortunately, more careful attention needed from cleaning team in places, which was disappointing - for the money, perfection expected. Warning for fellow townies - go less than walking pace along the track to prevent the underside of your car getting scraped, unless you drive a land rover. Also, the bins are located at the end of the road, so stinky rubbish needs to go in the car - too far to carry it. We're not precious about our car but our son flatly refused to take it in his new car!

This place is amazing. Great location to travel around the highlands. Every drive is more beautiful than the last. The donkeys are the sweetest and the cows are so nice to hear and very curious. The little produce stand had eggs and potatoes to purchase which was great for breakfast before adventuring out. Nice walk into town to the pub and deli, even got to meet Percy the local peacock. Everyone is so very friendly. Robert shared local spots and even where to visit the hairy coos nearby. I am glad we booked this little oasis before the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. Such a beautiful little get away with so many little hidden gems nearby! Was quiet 24/7 and we loved the peace and the amount of sun the garden and hot tub got. Such a cosy cottage and made us feel at home straight away, worth the drive! Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

The house was wonderful - we were delighted with both the location and with the property. The house was immaculate, and beautifully furnished with some really lovely pictures and objects throughout. The rooms were all good-sized and bright with the kitchen/dining area overlooking the garden a real standout. It was very well maintained and it felt like a proper home from home. The location was really lovely too - nice and quiet with a very short walk to the beach. We particularly enjoyed our walks around the area and along to Chanonry Point to look for the dolphins. A local pub and a lovely restaurant were close by too which was a bonus! Our host, Eva, provided us with clear and concise information prior to our arrival and messaged us a couple of times during our stay to make sure that all was in order. This was very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the property to others, and we certainly plan to visit again!

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

This place saved our holiday! We were camping in the Cairngorms and ended up with a catastrophic failure of our tent on the second night. Booked this beautiful cottage at 3:30am and checked in just over 12 hours later! Communication from Laura was fab, and she was always on hand with any queries we had. Delightful little cottage, and the bonus of a hot-tub and sauna made for a very different holiday than we had planned in a soggy tent. Would highly recommend, and would certainly look to go back if we stay in this part of Scotland again

Lovely cottage with pretty bedrooms and a generous garden with barbecue and seating. Tranquil setting very convenient for Brodie Castle and close to Findhorn and the beach. We arrived late and had trouble figuring out how to use the the wifi and get hot water, but that was probably down to our tiredness rather than anything else. Would happily stay here again and may well do so if Jeana will have us back.

Es war wirklich sehr schön in der Unterkunft, es war alles vorhanden was man benötigt und das Haus ist mit moderner Heizung ausgestattet. Eine Kaffeemaschine hätte zum absoluten Glück gefehlt. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, die Umgebung war sehr schön, man benötigt aber auf jeden Fall ein Auto.

We stayed for 4 nights and highly recommend. The cottage is clean, cosy and comfortable and is kitted out with everything you’d need. It’s well placed for trips to Aviemore and Kingussie, we visited Loch Morlich and Loch Ness to name a few. Really brilliant decor throughout and the hosts have paid a lot of attention to detail. The bed is really comfy too. We were lucky enough to see a woodpecker among other birds at the feeder outside the window, as well as a red squirrel which we loved! We also had our dog with us and he enjoyed walking and sniffing nearby the cottage. Unfortunately we had quite a bit of rain during our stay but even that didn’t seem so bad because the sound of the rain on the roof somehow made us feel even more cosy. Absolutely can’t fault this beautiful cottage and would definitely recommend to anyone considering.

很棒的房子 就在尼斯湖游客中心对面，距离尼斯湖或者城堡都非常近。周围有一家很好吃的餐厅，我们在那里享用了美味晚餐 整个房子像一个艺术品，里面有很多房东收集的具有特色的物件 房东也非常热情和有趣，回复特别及时 不过需要注意的是，房子的二层有一部分斜角，经常需要弯腰通过 是下次还会再想来的地方😁

We absolutely loved the place. It has everything you could ask for and even more. Enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden, it had an amazing kitchen, lots of space and Louise was the most welcoming person and gave us amazing recommendations. We loved everything about our days in the Cairngorms. We will hopefully be back soon!

This is a great cottage in an excellent location. Grantown is well situated for day trips or finding and enjoying places off the beaten track. Fiona's cottage is clean, spacious and we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Pristine! A really great spot, two minute walk to the restaurant and Culloden Battlefield site. A very special place and we enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds and the house had everything we needed - exceptional.

John's place is just incredible. We spent 2 nights here and had a lovely stay. The kitchen is well stocked. The washer and dryer work well. The cottage has so many personal touches, definitely an A+ for comfort. The fresh flowers and champagne left for us just added to our delight with the place.

Me, my partner, two of our close friends and our greyhound Louis had a magical week at the boathouse. Not only were we blessed with end to end sunshine, but the boat house was so wonderful, that for several days we didn't leave the accommodation. The photos on here do not do the boathouse justice, it was spotless and brimming with character - not to mention the bathrooms were wonderful! Huge recommendation would be to bring or rent a kayak for the lake, we spent hours having fun on there and it would be the perfect pastime for children too! Perfect spot for a couples holiday, a romantic getaway, or even a family holiday! We will definitely be back.

Amazing escape from the busy world. We loved the calm environment at the bothy and the wildlife in the surroundings. Spending some days without permanent electricity and cooking on the Rayburn was a great experience to slow down during holidays

What a treat this house is! Charlotte's house was immaculately clean, cosy but not cramped, actually felt a lot bigger than the photos. Absolutely stunning location, with the sea to your left, very cute sheep and cows as neighbours, every other direction decorated with forest, moors, untouched nature. We greatly appreciated the spices and small touches which helped us feel very comfortable during our short stay. Will definitely stay again! Thank you so much for having us!

Such a quaint town with a beautiful view. The house was perfect for our stay with quick access to Inverness and surrounding areas. Also just a beautiful places to stay in, had everything we needed and Catherine went above and beyond in setting us up and communicating. Would highly recommend!

Die Unterkunft war wirklich super. Nur das Bett im Schlafzimmer ist schon in die Jahre gekommen. Auch die Matratze hat ihre Lebensdauer erreicht. Das ist etwas was verbessert werden könnte ansonsten war alles perfekt!

Wonderful cottage. Larger than imagined, very cozy and a wonderful setting in the large(!) garden. Jenny & David were excellent hosts: very friendly and informative. 100s of garden birds, including woodpeckers, and 4 or 5 red squirrels per day - right outside the kitchen window was mesmerising. Location was spot on. 10 min walk through the woodland to Grantown. 1 min to Spey river, 10 mins to old Spey bridge. Wider afield we travelled to Culloden, Balmoral, Aviemore - all in easy reach by car. Fantastic week was had - we will definitely be back as we only scratched the surface of what is on offer in the Cairngorms. Highly recommended!

The cottage is in a great spot in Ballater. We could start exploring the area right at our doorstep. The cottage provided plenty of space for the two of us and was well appointed. It was also very quiet. A lovely place in a lovely little town!

This cottage is one of a kind. What a beautiful and authentic Scottish home and surroundings. Yvonne was very responsive when we needed her. Incredible stay!
