Located on the banks of the Canal du Midi, a stone's throw from the threshold of Naurouze (classified site and highest point of this canal) as well as the Obelisk of Riquet. These iconic places of the Canal du Midi are only a short walk from our house where your accommodation is located. The area is also full of beautiful bike, walking or boat rides, we will be happy to share our tips. Lovely place on the edge of the Canal du Midi

The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

Cottage in the Lauragaise countryside in a pretty pink brick Toulouse that I have recently restored with refined and ecological materials. Unique air-conditioned and well-insulated accommodation. Air-conditioned veranda, 300 m2 private garden and large common area with hen house, forge workshop. Located 25 minutes from Toulouse and 2 km from the Canal du Midi. Quick access by highway to the mountains or the sea, Villenouvelle train station is a 5-min walk.

Village house

Located in the heart of the village (opposite the church), our large house welcomes groups and large families. Close to bus and local shops (bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, tobacco) 10 min from Castelnaudary and Villefranche de Lauragais, 30 min from Toulouse. Only 1.5 km away, take a walk along the Canal du Midi, to discover its traditional guinguettes and restaurants. 15 minutes away, Lake Ganguise promises swimming, walks and water activities.

The Canal du Midi Cottages - Loft 'Oten Cottage

Gîte in the center of the village, decorated with a Scandinavian design. The focal point of the unique accommodation is the suspended catamaran net, which invites you to relax and contemplate. And for safety reasons (stairs, catamaran net), children are not allowed. The vacation rental includes a cool bedroom in summer with 160 x 200 bed, bathroom with walk-in shower. Small courtyard to enjoy the outdoors. You can park two bikes.

La Forge - absolute calm overlooking the Pyrenees

La Forge is an intimate wood-and-stone tiny home designed for a fully immersive nature escape. With panoramic Pyrenean views, it’s a peaceful space to slow down, rest, and reconnect. Inside: a double bed, equipped kitchen, workspace, wifi, and a wood-burning stove. A private dry toilet is attached, with a full bathroom in the nearby shared house. Enjoy the terrace, and optional organic table d’hôte or wellness sessions.
