Where do I start. Well first off, we arrived in the middle of the nationwide blackout. I could not text Paula that we were on the way nor did we have service to find the place. BUT we did!! And oh my, the place is gorgeous, right in the middle of the mountains. There was no electricity because of that national blackout but Paula was a star, sheltering us the best she could in a crisis! She’s such an incredible host. We drank wine and ate cheese, slept in the most comfortable bed and woke up to the miracle of electricity. STAY HERE. Even without electricity it’s the greatest Airbnb I’ve ever been to.

Second time staying in the little house which is conveniently situated in the centre of the village with bars,a couple of shops, atm and nice public garden. It has all that's needed for a stay, including a great shower and a comfortable bed. The bread delivery each day is very helpful. Paula is a friendly host with good communication. I would definately stay again and recommend it.

Amazing experience. Not only is the house beautiful, comfortable and charming, but it is extremely well equipped and the land is fantastic. Pedro's messages ahead of our arrival made finding the place easy and seamless. Always quick to comeback with an answer to questions we had and overall very thoughtful. Definitely a place to return to!

The place is excellent for a getaway for two, very quiet and well decorated. D. Rosa was always available to meet our requests, with a delicious breakfast every morning, always with different and delicious varieties of bread. I recommend the Alamal and Barca da Amieira footbridges, which are very close. Just note that the house will not be suitable for those who have some mobility problems, and I would recommend an oven/microwave to increase the easy options in the kitchen, there are not many restaurants in the area (but there is a supermarket in Envendos and Mação).

It was like a retreat! It was just what we needed: rest, calm, privacy. We were able to catch up on our tanning and reading. Having breakfast outdoors is such a simple thing, but in the rush of life it is not so easy and at Ana's house it was mandatory! We loved all the sunsets we watched and hope to return. Marvão is undoubtedly wonderful. We recommend Paulo Gouveia's studio where we bought a beautiful painting where cork is the main character. It will have a special place in our living room where we will remember this vacation filled with peace and harmony. We wish Ana and her space the greatest success and thank her for all the tips and the tasty bottle of wine she left us!
