Where do we start! Thierry’s communication from booking was excellent. When we arrived Thierry met us with enthusiasm and showed us around our part of his castle! The castle, built in the 1500’s, has been lovingly restored and has all the mod cons needed! He is a very proud owner and has so much knowledge! His english put our French to shame as he has mastered it well! Thierry spent time with us when we arrived explaining the village and things to do in the area and would message with suggestions he thought we may be interested in (market at Carmaux etc) which was very helpful! When it was 34deg outside the castle was a much needed cool retreat! I can’t fault the accommodation, the area or the owner at all! Don’t hesitate to book Thierry’s part of history -you won’t regret it. Thierry, thank you for your hospitality and if we are ever in the area we will not hesitate to book with you again!

We had a fantastic stay at La Chouette. It was truely so well equipped it was like home. We met Kit on arrival and she explained everything and had a few food items to make a couple of small meals until we got to the market, which was such a gift after traveling. The bed was so comfortable and even during a heat wave the house stayed cool. We enjoyed the large outdoor space. The hosts were very responsive and we enjoyed Kit’s recommendation of eateries. It was truly magical stay from the comfortable accommodations to the quiet village. We highly recommend you stay here.

Rejuvenating stay in this beautiful cottage and its most peaceful environment. This former sheepfold has been tastefully renovated and everything comes together to have a good time, whether around the stove, barbecue, etc. We were delighted by the wooded garden and its surrounding walks recommended by our very welcoming and caring hosts. very nice independent cottage in a quiet and quiet place amid greenery and alongside our hosts Pascale and Michel who gave us a very good welcome and who was able to provide us with very good advice and attention to make our stay pleasant and to enjoy what to visit nearby, it is an ideal place to rest and visit the Albi region.
