Family-friendly vacation rentals in Monsaraz

It's been a wonderful vacation - the place is perfect for rest, and the photos don't do it justice. The property consists of four houses, one common (with pool, treadmill, etc.) and several lounging areas around the pool, clean and good size, as well as a pond full of fish. In the area there are several villages with supermarkets and good restaurants; Évora is 40 minutes away. It is a perfect place to get to know the Alentejo and spend the day for example in Lisbon or Évora. The owners, Mathieu and Martha, are absolutely lovely, attentive, polite and respectful. They have been attentive to our needs without being invasive. We are sure that we will repeat it, and we highly recommend it to everyone.

I had a great experience staying here. Martha and Mathieu are very friendly and helpful. They do much more to take care of their guests than I would expect from a host. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time with Marthe and Mathieu. They are both super friendly and hospitable and want to make their guests feel very comfortable. Always approachable and repeatedly asked us if everything was going well and we were satisfied. For us, the kitchen supplies could be a little more extensive, as we like to cook on vacation.

This is an amazing place with a 360 views into breathtaking horizons and Tiago is a wonderful host. Highly recommend!

Very spacious house with pleasant terraces and a lovely swimming pool. Carlos and his wife welcomed us with open arms! They were very friendly and very flexible with check-in and check-out. Absolutely recommended!

The best vacation we've had with your family! Thanks to Francisco and Filipa's hospitality and all the attention to detail they've had during our stay, and thanks to an absolutely wonderful house, we've had one of the best family weeks ever. It's the perfect house for a group of friends or family who want to enjoy a super relaxing stay. For the kids, the pool has protection all around, there is an indoor and outdoor play area, and everything is super safe, giving the children total freedom throughout the stay. We have sought this option to avoid the beaches this summer marked by Covid-19 and we really don't want anything else! Above the house, the super spacious outdoor and indoor spaces, with multiple options of space for convenience or to relax, the rooms are also super spacious, 3 of which are en-suite. The kitchen is huge and super well equipped, the barbecue is super professional... The garden is a real paradise! Thank you Francisco and Fiipa for providing us with this vacation to be unforgettable!

Excellent amenities, possibly superior to what the listing looks like. Friendly and accessible staff, the accommodation has several rooms but has always given us a lot of idea of privacy. I recommend 100% visit, ideal for a group of friends, with plenty of leisure space and comfort.

Bruno’s place was peaceful and a relaxing sanctuary including the bells from sheep next door He was helpful in suggesting local treasures and places to find local cuisine. Little touches around the sweet cottage added to feeling welcomed Also very responsive and accommodating. Would love to return

With Adelaide and her husband, you are really treated like a guest. We felt right at home. It is a spacious authentic house with a beautiful garden with a wonderful swimming pool. We had a few warm days but the house feels cool. Wonderfully quiet and rural environment. Obrigado Adelaide!

Second time in this little paradise. For those who like silence, animals, privacy, this is the perfect place. Perfect for babies/children. The Households are the soul of this place. Mr. Coirinha and wife are super kind and available people. We highly recommend it.

We had the most unforgettable stay at this beautiful place. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by peace and breathtaking views in every direction. It truly felt like a hidden place, the kind of house that slows you down. The private pool was a dream. One of our favorite parts was the outdoor kitchen bbq, where we spent most evenings preparing simple homemade dinners and enjoying sundowner drinks while the sky lit up with color. Patricia was incredibly responsive and helpful, making sure everything was just right and offering great local tips…beaches, restaurants etc. This place is a great place for families looking to escape the rush of everyday life. Thank you for such a lovely experience, we already miss it and hope to return soon.

The accommodation was very lovely, everything you need was there. The surrounding garden was very pretty with a lot of flowers and plants and even 3 cute horses! Catarina was very pleasant, helpful and easy to communicate with. Her and her family were very nice. The only thing worth mentioning is, for noise sensitive people the fridge might be a bit loud. Thank you very much for letting us stay in the little house :)

This is the third time we've come to Sonia's. I love it. The place is beautiful. The lake, canoe, paddle, walks around allow you to enjoy the natural lake. The air conditioning works well (it was 36 degrees). A few ant and mosquito attacks. I will be back with pleasure.

We were very well received and the accommodation matches the entire description, having surprised us very positively, the landscape and the tranquility of the area. Great stay at Luc's place. We didn't get to meet them as they were away at the time but Anibal and Amelia were extremely nice ans flexible both at check in and check out. they explained and showed us where everything was. We had such a peacefull stay, it was amazing. very calm surroundings, the pool is very nice and gets so much sun that it wasn't even cold. The rooms are spacious and the rest of the house looks like the pictures, if not better. We were 6 adults and 1 child and the house was great for us. Note : (this is not a complaint) if you bring a child, you must be careful as there are many steps /stairs were they can fall from. 5☆ stay. We are very inclined to come back next year if possible.

A beautiful cottage in an extraordinary rural environment. We were warmly welcomed by a lovely hostess. Rita served us a delicious breakfast with, among other things, hot Portuguese tartlets. A real treat. She speaks French very well, which allowed us to have nice discussions. We really enjoyed it. Beautiful and unforgettable moments. We would recommend it in a second.

My stay at Herdade do Topo, in Serpa, was very pleasant. The house was spotlessly clean and the pool is spectacular, perfect for relaxing. The space is comfortable and ideal for those looking for tranquility, although it would benefit from minor maintenance improvements in maintenance. A less positive point was the location registered on Airbnb, which is not correct and can cause confusion. However, the owner was very helpful and called me before the stay to explain in detail how to get there. For longer stays, it is important to know that, as it is a remote location, there is no garbage collection and guests have to take it to Serpa. Overall, I recommend Herdade do Topo for those looking for rest and privacy, taking into account only these small details.

Despite the rainy weather, we loved staying in this house. The common area is super spacious and welcoming, ideal for having a good time with friends and family. The outdoor grill space is excellent — well-equipped and covered, which allowed us to enjoy a beautiful outdoor meal even in bad weather. The children had a lot of fun, there was room for safe play, and our pets were also very welcome. The house is comfortable, clean and perfect for those who seek to rest without giving up the company of their own.

A safe haven!! Great for a stay with kids! We were cut off from the world in the middle of nature. The house is very nice and Maria and Cristiana are very attentive!

We can definitely recommend this place! It is a charming cottage that is part of an old monastery. We found everything we were looking for: a lush garden with fruit trees that we were allowed to pick from, a fireplace, a well equipped kitchen and a terrace with bbq. Miranda received us warmly and decorated the cottage with care, nothing was missing. Thank you for this experience Miranda!
