Te Tiro Cottage Two & Glowworms

We have two beautiful “Pioneer-style” cottages nestled in amongst the stunning Waitomo landscape. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the central North Island and mountains in our two self-contained, pioneer-style cottages (sleep 4 persons). - Cottage set-up to sleep 4 people - 2 Adults and 2 children - 2 Couple (Cozy) The price is for a up to 4 guests. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). We are a 15-20 minute drive past the Waitomo Village so it pays to eat before you come up or bring supplies with you. There is a two element cook top and a microwave. The cottage is one room with a queen bed down and a small loft above that has two single mattresses in it. Cosy but cute. Each cottage has its own bathroom about 8 steps from the cottage. We would love you to come and share our little piece of paradise. The accommodation is nestled within a bush setting on top of a hill where you can see out over the whole central north Island. You even have your own grotto only meters from your door where you can sit quietly surrounded by a galaxy of Glow-worms. Enjoy the starry nights and peace and quiet of the country. You are more them welcome to wander around the farmland and enjoy the fantastic views, check out the Dab Chick Pond and beautiful native bush. Amazing views/Glowworms/Native bush/Caves/Black Water Rafting. If we are not going to be home there is still family around to help out if needed. Check in is from 3pm/ check out at 10am.

The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Local shopping centre with supermarket, chemist and library are 10mins walk/5mins drive from the house. We are a 5mins drive from NP airport/10mins drive to New Plymouth CBD and approx 30mins drive to Mt Taranaki. Walking distance to Bell Block Beach and the scenic Coastal Walkway from Bell Block to NP in an hour. Great for a weekend/short visit to the region.

We are also located along the Te Araroa track an ideal place to stop between Waitomo and Pureora Forest.
